*** end of transmission ***

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Perkele. This is some sad news for sure since the lineup of a few years in Children Of Bodom have been bringing their excellent brand of Melodic Death Metal to the masses for awhile. I will miss what they were all about but remain on the hopeful side for what is to come. Speaking frankly, I am thinking that COB ceases to exist as a thing and when the time is right to announce something, it will be something completely new under Laiho’s creative guidance. Considering how good so much of their output was I will close this up by saying “Onnea” to the guyds and wait for additional announcements. Thank you COB, goodnight.

The Press Release:
It’s Sunday, September 30th 2018. In a couple of hours’ time, symphonic metal trailblazers NIGHTWISH will unleash their unique “Decades” show on the huge stage of the Estadio Malvinas in Buenos Aires. And once again, they will be setting aflame the hearts of thousands of dedicated fans. Released back in 2018, Decades was so much more than a run-of-the-mill best-of. This comprehensive chronology of the band’s first two decades not only marked the band’s 20th anniversary; it was also the end of yet another era in the stellar career of Finland’s internationally most successful group. The consequent tour, too, was so much more than a regular anniversary run; from March 9th to December 15th 2018, the seventh NIGHTWISH world tour enthralled 82 cities across Europe, North America and South America – armed with a once-in-a-lifetime setlist.

Though I’ve enjoyed shining the spotlight on the touring side of the musical fence, I should admit that I never anticipated doing them here on the website and felt it would only be an occasional thing that would be done when I had the “PiercingMetal Musings” blog. This side notion just hit me as I’ve now surpassed more than 1K of these kinds of posts and now its time to alert the masses about a super cool combination as The 69 Eyes will return to our shores with direct support from Mr. Scary himself, Wednesday 13. Take a look down below at the full press release and dates.
