Back towards the end of May I posted the Final Trailer for this film “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets” and if you missed that one just click onto THIS LINK so you are up to speed. I have to say that it feels like so long ago to me already when I shared that trailer and rightly so since that was more than “90” posts ago by my count. Whew. I guess there is a lot going on our there after all. So anyway this film is opening up today and below is the theatrical poster and some plot/cast reminders.
The Plot: In the 28th century, Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne) are special operatives charged with keeping order throughout the human territories. On assignment from the Minister of Defense, the two undertake a mission to Alpha, an ever-expanding metropolis where species from across the universe have converged over centuries to share knowledge, intelligence, and culture. At the center of Alpha is a mysterious dark force which threatens the peaceful existence of the City of a Thousand Planets, and Valerian and Laureline must race to identify the menace and safeguard not just Alpha, but the future of the universe.
