birds of prey movie logo

With the film arriving in just under a month from now, it was good to see a second trailer for the upcoming Warner Brother Pictures release “Birds Of Prey”; You might recall that we shared the First Trailer back around the time of the New York Comic Con. As already specified, the films full title is “Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn”. It’s going to expand the DCEU in hopefully a positive way and now its time to enjoy this second trailer. I’ve got the premise and casting down below as well.

The Premise: Since the events of Suicide Squad, Harley Quinn has left the Joker. Batman has disappeared, leaving Gotham City unprotected from crime. When a young girl named Cassandra Cain comes across a diamond belonging to crime lord who goes by the name of Black Mask, Harley joins forces with Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to protect her.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Maybe it’s just me and maybe I am being a little too critical but I think that I was expecting a little bit more considering how long we’ve been hearing about the sequel to the hit “Wonder Woman” film from 2017. We’ve also been bombarded with news from the Marvel Studios side of the fence that’s only gotten fandom more and more excited about what is to come yet from the DC side they aren’t going out of their way to get us all juiced and rallying behind what is on the plan. Part of me feels if they don’t care why should I but let’s see if another few spins on said trailer make me more interested. What about you folks? Did this move you? Hopefully they will use their heads and put together a kicking 80’s soundtrack for the film. Let’s see what happens.

One day, Billy gets on a subway car and finds himself transported to a different realm where an ancient wizard gives him the power to transform into a godlike adult superhero by uttering the word “Shazam!” Billy and his new foster brother Freddy Freeman must learn what Billy’s new powers are and how to use them in order to stop the villain Dr. Thaddeus Sivana from nefarious acts, with powers of his own.
