Tonight: “Lucifer” Series Finale on Fox (5/14/2018)

Hey Fiends, so you know we’ve discussed the DC Comics Vertigo based show “Lucifer” here on the website, and I wanted to remind you that tonight is the season finale of the third season. Actually, I have a little bad news for you because tonight’s episode is in truth the series finale as it was cancelled by Fox a couple of days ago. Let’s review the premise and casting once more before the episode.

The Premise: The series will focus on Lucifer, “who is bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell and resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the beauty of Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals”.

The Cast:
Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar
Lesley-Ann Brandt as Maze
Lauren German as Chloe Dancer
Kevin Alejandro as Dan
Rachael Harris as Linda Martin
D. B. Woodside as Amenadiel
Scarlett Estevez as Trixie
Tricia Helfer as Charlotte Richards/”Mum”
Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez
Tom Welling as Lieutenant Marcus Pierce/Cain

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve already admitted to never really having read the comic series and that’s fine as far as this show is concerned since they are vastly different. I did enjoy the show and will miss it in some sense since I’ve been keeping up with most of the comic book themed shows. According to what I’ve read there are a couple of episodes that haven’t been aired and these will likely be added to a home video collected edition of the series. I honestly don’t think Fox is going to waste airtime on something that they found the need to cancel. Tom Ellis was great as was Maze if I had to pick my favorites. They would be fun to turn up on “Legends Of Tomorrow” for some kind of weird episode. Anyway, let’s see how this all plays out later on. Thanks for reading.

SyFy Presents: “Krypton” Official Trailer #2

Hello again readers and fans of shows that feature our colorful comic book characters. I’m back to showcase the second official trailer for the upcoming SyFy series “Krypton” and it looks promising. Take a look down below.

The Premise: According to IGN, Krypton will follow Superman’s grandfather, Seg-El; whose family, the House of El, has been ostracized and shamed. Seg-El fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos.

The Cast/Characters:
Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El
Georgina Campbell as Lyta Zod
Ian McElhinney as Val-El
Elliot Cowan as Daron-Vex
Ann Ogbomo as Alura Zod
Rasmus Hardiker as Kem
Wallis Day as Nyssa-Vex
Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em
Shaun Sipos as Adam Strange
Blake Ritson as Brainiac
Paula Malcomson as Charys
Additionally, Seg’s father Ter-El, Doomsday and Hawkgirl will also appear in the television series.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve already said what I’ve needed to about this upcoming show but that being said I will tell you that I am sold on giving it a chance. It will be interesting to see Adam Strange in action and of course Brainiac who in all honesty should have had an inference in last years ill-received “Justice League” film. There wasn’t one of course and heck, we didn’t even get a glimpse of Darkseid but enough about that. Sorry if I spoiled it for you but if you haven’t seen the film by now you are not on the same level of geek as most of us are. The “Krypton” show airs on 3/21 so while it might be too early to set your DVR as that’s still a month away, you might want to set a reminder somewhere on your mobile to be on point closer to the airing date. Did you enjoy the second trailer? Let me know down in the comments section below.

Tonight: “iZombie” Season 4 Premiere on The CW (2/26/2018)

We’ve been keeping you readers informed on some of the latest tours that will be heading our way in the coming months but now its time to give something back to the homebodies that are among us and share that the fourth season premiere for The CW Network’s “iZombie” is airing tonight. The series follows the adventures of your friendly neighborhood zombie Liv Moore and you should check your local listings for the times so you don’t miss it. I’ve followed the brand new poster with some show premise and main cast. Take a look.

The Premise: Seattle medical resident Olivia “Liv” Moore is turned into a zombie while attending a boat party. She abandons her career and breaks up with her fiancé, much to the disappointment and puzzlement of her family. She discovers that if she does not periodically satisfy her new appetite for brains, she starts turning into a stereotypical zombie, stupid and homicidal. Instead of feeding by killing innocent people, Liv decides to take a job at the King County morgue and eat the brains of the corpses she autopsies. Her secret is guessed by her boss, Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti. Ravi soon becomes Liv’s friend and confidant, and as a scientist, he is intrigued by her condition. Liv finds out that whenever she eats a dead person’s brain, she temporarily inherits some of their personality traits and experiences flashbacks of their life. Those visions are generally triggered by sights (events or objects) or sounds (repeated sentences). In the case of murder victims, the flashbacks offer clues about their killers. Liv decides to use this new ability to help Police Detective Clive Babineaux solve the crimes, passing herself off as a psychic, Meanwhile, Ravi works to develop a cure for Liv’s affliction, in the hope that one day she will be able to resume her former life.
