The Press Release:
With San Diego Comic-Con 2018 right around the corner, DC Collectibles is ready to dazzle the show floor with three Comic-Con exclusive Batman designer vinyl figures from their cutting-edge DC Artists Alley line. Illustrator Chris Uminga’s unique take on DC’s iconic Dark Knight is transformed into three variant editions: Blue and Gray, Flashpoint, and Matte Black and Gold. Each figure will be available for purchase exclusively during San Diego Comic-Con at the Entertainment Earth booth (#2343).
The artist-focused 6.75’’ designer vinyl line is inspired by the popular “Artist Alley” convention experience and allows innovative artists to put their eccentric spin on DC’s most popular characters. Each edition includes three Batman character art cards and is offered at varying limited quantities ranging in price from $60-$100. The ultra-limited Matte Black and Gold variant features an additional original sketch of either Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, or The Joker, hand drawn by Uminga.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I first saw these editions at Five Points Festival a couple of years ago and while they are not my thing at the end of the day, they are super cool if you are a collector of stylized figures and statues. I hope that any fans of these limited editions that is heading to SDCC next month are able to get their hands on the ones that they want. Until we meet again.
Welcome back my friends, you have safely arrived at the second chapter of my Five Points Festival coverage. The event happened just this past weekend at Pier 36 down on the Lower East Side. I’ll be chiming in every now and again as I see fit and let’s begin with this awesome drawing of the late great David Bowie.
Welcome back to the presentations from the 2017 American International Toy Fair. I’m continuing on from where I left off with my DC Collectibles visuals. This was a fantastic appointment during our exploration and if you love the great heroes of the DC Comics Multiverse, you are going to be spending some money. Here we go.
I’ll pick up with the remaining images from the “DC Designer Series” of action figures. These are all based on the art of Ant Lucia and his “DC Comics Bombshells” series. Awesome stuff but you can see that for yourself.
As I’ve previously noted, this year’s American International Toy Fair was an awesome adventure and from the look at all of the photos that were snapped, I am going to have posts for a couple of weeks to work into the context of all of our other narratives. With this post I am beginning the visuals from our appointment at the DC Collectibles booth. Let’s go.
I love the DC Collectibles booth because they set it up so nice and neat for an easier visual digestion. I secured photos of each of the groupings and let’s begin with the “Icons” series of collectible action figures.
