As a fan of the series of DC Comics superhero shows that air each and every week on The CW Entertainment network, one of the highlights is the crossover that brings these characters together for a unified cause. Some of the highlight crossovers for me was the “Crisis On Earth X” one and of course last year’s “Elseworlds” and now its time for the seeds that were planted in them to manifest in “Crisis On Infinite Earths”. The extended trailer was just revealed and the adventures begin this coming Sunday, December 8th. Take a look.
About The Crossover: “Crisis on Infinite Earths” is the upcoming sixth annual Arrowverse crossover event, featuring episodes of the live-action television series Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow on The CW. The Supergirl, Batwoman, and The Flash episodes will air in December 2019, while the Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow episodes will air in January 2020. Additionally, events in the Black Lightning episode “The Book of Resistance: Chapter Four: Earth Crisis”, airing between Batwoman and The Flash, will also tie-in to the crossover. A two-issue comic will also tie into the crossover, featuring characters and concepts not able to appear in the live-action episodes.
Though “Arrow” was the first of this group of DC Comics live-action superhero shows, it’s premiere comes after “The Flash”, “Black Lightning” and “Supergirl” which I found a little surprising. Anyway, the shows seventh season begins tonight and I’ve secured the dramatic poster along with a recap of the previous season doings and some casting. Let’s go.
Season 6 Recap: In season six, after an explosive battle on Lian Yu, Oliver must balance being a vigilante, the mayor, and a father to his son William. At the same time, new enemies emerge, initially led by hacker Cayden James, who puts together a team with drug dealer Ricardo Diaz, metahuman vigilante Vincent Sobel, Russian mobster Anatoli Knyazev, and Black Siren. As James loses control of his cabal, Ricardo Diaz comes to the fore, announcing to Green Arrow his scheme to take over Star City’s criminal underworld and control the city’s political infrastructure, all while Oliver must contend with his former teammates forming a rival team. As Diaz takes control of the city, Oliver is forced to recruit the aid of the FBI, in exchange for him publicly announcing his identity and going to federal prison. In the finale, Oliver is imprisoned in a supermax penitentiary. (c/o Wiki). Continue reading Tonight: “Arrow” Season 7 Premiere On The CW Network (10/15/2018)→
The 2018 Comic Con International: San Diego (or SDCC) will end today, Sunday the 22nd. Though we didn’t attend, we’ve been loading up the assorted sneak peeks and trailers that have been revealed. If you’ve missed any of them, just click HERE for the rundown of these narratives. Yesterday, The CW Network unveiled its trailers for the DC Universe of shows and I’ve loaded them in to run across the day. Let’s begin with “Arrow”, the show that pretty much began it all.
Alright, I’m down to the last of the currently running DC Comics television shows that were premiering this week. “Arrow” begins its sixth season this evening, so below you will find the dramatic season poster along with some previous season recap and casting. I’ll close out with where I am at with the show at this point as well when we close up.
Season Five Recap: In season five, Oliver trains young heroes Wild Dog, Mister Terrific, Artemis, and Ragman to join him in his war on crime following Laurel’s death and Thea’s resignation. He subsequently recruits a new Black Canary as well: metahuman vigilante and former police detective Dinah Drake. Supported by new allies, Oliver tries to balance vigilantism with his new role as mayor. He is also threatened by the mysterious and deadly villain Prometheus, who has a connection to Oliver’s past. In flashbacks, Oliver joins the Bratva in Russia as part of an plot to assassinate Konstantin Kovar. There, he meets and is trained by one of Ra’s al Ghul’s daughters, Talia al Ghul, as a hooded archer, before eventually returning to Lian Yu. Alright so the Comic Con International: San Diego was just this past weekend and as expected offered up a wealth of trailers for films and television shows that we fill up the DVR with. Since I blasted so many in our direction yesterday I’ve decided that with all of The CW Television Network series to offer them up one per day alongside our regularly posting music content. Otherwise it will be too much television in a row and I like to mix it up. That said, here is the Official Trailer for “Arrow” Season Six.
