A few years ago, the band KISS crossed from their own comic book series into the world of Archie Comics for a four-issue series that took place in their famous Riverdale. Now they are doing it one more time but its not going to be a comic series and instead is an animated feature film that brings them right into an exciting and fun mystery that is being investigated by the Scooby-Doo characters. PiercingMetal Thoughts: Readers of the website already know about my appreciation about anything relating to the band KISS but they might not know about my fond memories of the classic “Scooby-Doo” cartoons of old. It still brings a smile and some of my favorite episodes of the original series found them teamed up with the likes of the 1966 Batman and Robin (voiced by the legendary Adam West and Burt Ward) and the Harlem Globetrotters. Such memories. Finding the Mystery Team meeting those Rock Superheroes in KISS in today’s media world is just something that makes me feel like a kid again. Much like those original team-ups, KISS will be doing their own voices and that is pretty cool. Since we live in a world where you can always use a laugh I’m really looking forward to this one. What do you readers think about the idea of this direct to video release? Let me know in the comments section below.

I’ve embedded links to both versions of the video along with two collected editions of the currently running “Scooby-Doo Team-Up” series that is published by DC Comics. Fun stuff.

So when I was growing up, I pretty much would lock myself in place when shows like “Batman” or “Spider-Man” aired in syndication but some of my very favorites had to be both “Scooby-Doo Where Are You?” and “The New Scooby-Doo Movies”. Speaking frankly, I enjoyed the second one more because it was a team-up series that had weird guest stars like The Addams Family and Batman. Fast forward to today and we find the Mystery Team meeting up with the almighty KISS to solve the latest mystery. This feature now has a trailer and you can check it out below.

The Premise: Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Gang team up with the one and only rock band KISS in this all-new, out-of-this-world adventure. We join the Gang at Kiss World – the all-things-Kiss theme park, as they investigate a series of strange hauntings.
