Everyone who watched the first season of Marvel’s “Daredevil” was pretty sold on the performances and the overall presentation that we found as viewers. Charlie Cox was a terrific Matt Murdock/Daredevil and it was great to find the show taking place in the same universe that ALL of the recent Marvel Studios films are. By doing this there were references to things that happened in a wide variety of films and I love those kind of Easter Eggs. Check out the poster below of the second season which will go live on Netflix on March 18th.
As you can tell by the poster, there are a lot of players in this second season for our Man Without Fear to deal with and I am fine with that since its expanding the ever growing Marvel film universe. I also love how these shows are connected together which we found thanks to some references in “Jessica Jones”. These series are really giving Marvel fans something special and now we have the first trailer for the second season of Daredevil. The first trailer focuses on The Punisher. Check it out below.
We’ve been anticipating this one for a few months now and I am happy to report that the first full season of “Marvel’s Daredevil” or simply just “Daredevil” will be available to watch in its entirety as of this moment today but you will need a subscription to Netflix to do so. This is the first in a series of four heroic shows that are in the immediate plan with the others being “Power Man”, “Iron Fist” and “Jessica Jones”. These four shows will eventually be tied even closer together in an additional Netflix series focusing on “The Defenders”. Let’s have a look at the few posters so far and the premise and cast for “Daredevil”. I’ll be back after that.
The Premise: Marvel’s Daredevil, or simply Daredevil, is an upcoming American web television series developed for Netflix by Drew Goddard, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise, and is the first in a series of shows that will lead up to a Defenders crossover miniseries. The series is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios, DeKnight Prods. and Goddard Textiles, with Steven S. DeKnight serving as showrunner, and Goddard acting as consultant. Remember this poster? If you don’t that’s alright because it was something that I brought up a few weeks ago regarding the upcoming Netflix Original Series “Marvels Daredevil”.
Today I am excited because the first teaser trailer was released for the series and to be a good comic geek citizen I am sharing it with you below so please check it out below. The series stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin.
The buzz has been high about the four Marvel Studios properties coming to Netflix and earlier today both Marvel and Netflix made the big announcement about the debut of “Daredevil” which will air on April 10th of this year. Check out the pretty cool poster below.
The show will star Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin along with many others. You might know this already but if not please be aware that all of the series episodes will be available on Day One of its premiere. That means you’ll be able to binge watch it but I suggest perhaps doing it over the course of a couple of days. There are thirteen episodes to this first season and I know that with all the other shows that I watch that I will not be sitting and getting it over with in two sittings.
What’s also exciting is how this will tie right into the existing Marvel Cinematic Universe. That opens up the door to potential “Agents Of SHIELD” appearances and more. The shows that will follow this will be Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist with all leading into a new version of The Defenders. Stay tuned for the premiere date posting to keep up with more information and views about the show.
