Warbringer Announces Winter 2016 Tour With Enforcer

Earlier today I mentioned that there were a lot of tours being announced and it was not long after I mused that aloud that those thrashing Californians in Warbringer have returned to action and were announcing a Winter Tour for the beginning of 2016 with Enforcer, Cauldron and Exmortus. I’ve secured the official press release for you all along with the poster and am sharing it with you below. Then we can talk about this a little more before closing up. Here we go.

Tour - Warbringer and Enforcer - 2016

The Press Release:
Southern California thrash-metal five piece, WARBRINGER have built a reputation for themselves over the past five years having recorded four albums and touring the planet with relentless drive and passion. Now after a year-long hiatus, a tour of Asia, a small run of California shows and a few lineup changes, they are writing this summer and plan to record in the fall. They have also just announced a full North American tour in early 2016 with Enforcer and a South American Tour in July.

“Earache Summer Sampler 2010” by Various Artists

Artist: Various Artists
Title: “Earache Summer Sampler 2010”
Label: Earache Records
Release Date: 6/29/2010
Genre: Heavy Metal/Thrash/Grindcore
Rating: 3.75/5

If Metal is your business, then business is good or at least a whole lot better thanks to the folks over at Earache Records who are delivering this incendiary sampler of their latest bands and releases. You’ve likely been long aware of this label as they have been the herald of the underground scene for more years than I can count and at one time delivered the likes of Decapitated, Napalm Death, and even Carcass. This is a sampler that is meant to be played at critical volumes and by that I mean one that makes your neighbors fear your listening routine just a little more than they might already do. Scanning around the presentations we find Evile from the United Kingdom and a band I have seen a number of times. They are champions of the old sound but have a modern twist to them, and those dudes in White Wizzard make you feel as though you rolled back into the eighties in a good way. Conventional Thrash comes through with shining colors thanks to Bonded By Blood and Gama Bomb and while one band cites recollections of Exodus the latter band reminds of classic era Overkill in some sense. Melodic Death Metal is delivered to perfection by Order Of Ennead and one should expect this given its the side-project of members of Deicide and rising star shredder John Li. There is some molten heaviness care of Grind Core Singaporeans Wormrot and we get two songs from them. Don’t take a deep breath as its likely to be longer than the tunes provided and the rest you shall just have to learn about on your own.

Municipal Waste @ Gramercy Theatre (12/9/2009)

Artist: Municipal Waste
Venue: Gramercy Theatre (New York, NY)
Opener: Cauldron, Brutal Truth, Phobia
Date: 12/9/2009
Label: Earache Records

Every once in awhile you find yourself hitting a show that while you don’t have the most background on you in terms of the gamut of talented bands, you end up going just the same in hope that you can offer up your take and observe the scene that surrounds the bands that are performing effectively. Such was the case for me with the Municipal Waste show this evening for while a number of my friends have been extolling this bands virtues and discussing their live shows, they were a band that I had not gotten around to enjoying in concert yet myself. The interesting thing was how the whole night would be pretty much of a mystery for me with the exception of the very first band on who would be Cauldron. I knew some of their stuff and remembered one of their members being a part of a band that went away too soon by the name of Goat Horn. The show would also feature Brutal Truth and Phobia and here is how it went.
