Not too long ago we helped present the upcoming tour dates for the new Cradle Of Filth tour that was bringing them to our shores once more and finding support from both Butcher Babies and Ne Obliviscaris but sadly the first few dates of the tour have been cancelled based on the always problematic Visa issues which was announced yesterday. Dani Filth’s statement is below the original tour poster that was used in my larger tour posting HERE. Check it out.
“With a massively heavy heart, Cradle of Filth have to announce the cancellation (for now at least) of our first four shows in the U.S, because of a visa issue with the American embassy. We are doing everything in our power to rectify this situation as fast as possible. It is an nightmarish situation for all and we can only apologize for all those fans who have bought tickets. Thank you for your understanding and please be assured we are doing everything we can to be with you as soon as is humanly possible and that should be 31st January in Charlotte, North Carolina. We look forward to seeing you then. For refunds, please contact your point of purchase. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.”
Now this news was not fun at all to read about. Check out the official press release from The Who regarding their currently in progress 50th Anniversary Tour.
The Press Release:
THE WHO today confirmed that they are postponing all remaining dates on their “THE WHO HITS 50!” North American tour. They had initially postponed FOUR shows on doctor’s orders after Roger Daltrey contracted a mystery virus. Initially it was hoped that the rest of the tour might proceed, but after extensive tests the seriousness of his condition became apparent when doctors diagnosed Roger as having viral Meningitis and prescribed a period of rest. The band apologizes to fans and realizes that the postponement will cause an inconvenience for ticketholders. It wasn’t a decision taken lightly — THE WHO always give their fans 100% and were never going to compromise the show, but ultimately the band had no alternative but to postpone the tour. Wow, another tour cancellation in the same week but yes my Metal Legions, I am sad to report for those who were excited about this particular happening that the upcoming tour for Six Feet Under (labelled the “East Coast Armageddon Tour”) has been postponed. The official announcement from the band follows the tour poster below.
“Bad news…Illness of a close family member of one our band mates unfortunately has forced postponement of East Coast Armageddon until late January continuing into February. Our sincerest apologies to all of our fans. We will see you all in January.”
