Ghost are bringing their “Black To The Future” Tour to the Wellmont Theater. You don’t want to miss their presentation.
The news about this tour came late yesterday afternoon but I was too consumed with the tasks based on the sad loss of the great David Bowie. LINKÖPING, SWEDEN- JANUARY 11, 2016 – Ghost’s “Cirice”, from their critically acclaimed third album Meliora, has been nominated for ‘Best Metal Performance’ at the 2016 Grammy® Awards. Meliora was released on August 21, 2015 and debuted in the Top 10 (#8) on Billboard’s Top 200 Album Charts, No. 1 at Independent Retail, and No. 2 at Rock. The Grammy® Awards will be handed out on Monday, February 15, 2016 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA and televised live on CBS at 8PM EST/PST (Check local Listings).
Ghost are one of just four bands from Sweden to have been in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart (joining Avicii, Ace of Base, and Europe). Papa Emeritus III and his nameless ghouls capped off a landmark year with their late night television debut on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s Halloween show on CBS with a rousing performance of their song “Cirice”, which reached the Top 5 at radio at Active Rock and Mainstream Rock.

It’s been a little over a year since those Nameless Ghouls and their insidious leader Papa Emeritus II had last paid a visit to our neck of the woods and for those among the converted who have hoped for their return, the very recent news about their upcoming tour was bound to cause levels of catatonic jubilation. Alright so perhaps this is not the biggest bit of information from the band but sometimes brief and to the point speaks volumes so let’s leave it at that and check out the tour dates listed below. It will be awesome to find the band play at Terminal 5 on this go round since it will be the first time that they are doing that.
