Wow. Talk about a powerhouse lineup of accomplished musicians. Mike Portnoy, Billy Sheehan, Tony Macalpine and Derek Sherinian. Outstanding levels of talent in each of them and a truly juggernaut level of musical assault when they combine forces. It’s beyond exciting that the band will be playing their only US Appearance for 2012 at the legendary B.B. King Blues Club but even more awesome to be able to treat some of the PiercingMetal readers to the show thanks to the powers that be for the venue. Here’s the official description from their website

Having been a classic Van Halen fan for many years before he went solo, my interest obviously followed the great David Lee Roth into whatever adventure he saw fit to entertain us with. Now, it was never my intent to offer up thoughts on such a limited compilation but with so many people beginning to purchase music digitally now, it felt like something good. My rationale was based on the hope that it would encourage folks who missed out on some bands giving them a chance care of this kind of brief release. With only five tracks to speak about these would be right on point and give you some must have ideas. Starting off this limited listening experience are the two strongest tracks from Dave’s EP “Crazy From The Heat” which I loved to death despite their being covers. The two videos for these songs alone helped make them staples on both MTV and Rock Radio of the day.
