This might strike you with a little bit of a surprise but I have been a fan of the music of Billy Idol since I first heard his 1981 debut solo release “Don’t Stop”. Mind you I was still quite the Rocker and the burgeoning Metalhead back then but based on some of the folks that I was jamming with I developed an appreciation of the musical offerings of the all too infectious Idol without any hesitation. That said I am pretty stoked to announce that today at noon, Mr. Idol will be signing copies of his brand new autobiography “Dancing With Myself” at the Fifth Avenue Barnes and Noble. The book was officially released yesterday but you will need to purchase one at the B&N in order to participate in this cool event. Check out the cover of the book and the press copy that I snagged from his official website.
Hey my fiends, so Paul Stanley was signing copies of his brand new Harper One biography “Face The Music: A Life Exposed” last night at the Barnes & Noble down on Warren Street in Downtown Manhattan and with my being the KISS fan that I am, I just had to set some time aside to head down there to be a part of the assembled KISS Army. Check out the cover of the book below.
The sign at the store told those planning on attending and the passerby about the event this evening and as you can see Paul was NOT going to be signing anything other than the book. Sometimes fans show up with tons of memorabilia which slows the process down quite a bit.
Earlier this evening, both Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of KISS made a stop at Barnes & Noble to sign copies of their new book entitled “Nothin’ To Lose”. This was the second such signing being done today with the guys hitting Book Ends in Ridgewood, NJ. The book is also by Ken Sharp and focuses on the bands time between the years of 1972 to 1975 and that interests me a lot since its the formative years of the band and their ideals. Check out the cover of this awesome tome…..
