I recently said that the tour announcements were going to ramp up as we hit the Spring and I wasn’t lying. Spring isn’t even here yet and despite this my email account is getting notice after notice after notice about some amazing bands who are hitting the road. That said here is the latest from the folks in Paramore who will be making the summer a whole lot hotter. The full press release and dates follow the poster and I’ll close up with some editorial.
The Press Release:
LOS ANGELES (Mar 8, 2018) – Following their massively successful “Tour Two” last fall, GRAMMY® Award-winning band Paramore today announce their 2018 North American “After Laughter Summer Tour (Tour 5).” Foster The People will join the summer amphitheater and arena tour kicking off June 12 in St. Augustine, FL and make stops across the U.S. and Canada including Toronto, Brooklyn, Chicago, New Orleans, Los Angeles and more. The 26-city trek will wrap on July 24 in Morrison, CO at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre. A special guest will also be added to the tour and announced soon.
In keeping with their commitment to ensure tickets get into the hands of their fans, not scalpers or bots, Paramore has partnered with Ticketmaster to use its Verified Fan platform. Verified Fan will power all ticket presales, providing fans who truly want to attend the show with the best opportunity to get great tickets.
Greetings from Toy Fair 2018; I’m deeply entrenched in the massive Toy Industry Only event over at Javits Center but during a breather I saw this email tour announcement and said let’s get this online fast and furious. Here we go.

“We’ve been wanting to put together a tour like this for a long time,” says Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale. “We are a few of the hardest working women in rock, so the fact that we are all on the same stage every night is something not to be missed! We support and love each other, and we are representing our genre. This lineup is a beautiful display of what it means to be a strong female example for rock fans everywhere.” Continue reading In This Moment & Halestorm Announce Co-Headlining Tour→

Since everyone in my city is out at the market stocking up on milk and bread for the looming blizzard that will probably only inconvenience our metropolis for a single day, I decided to share the news about this new tour that features a headlining In This Moment and some super cool guest support acts. Check out the brief statement below along with the poster and tour dates.
Blood Legion! We’ll be hitting the road with Motionless In White, Avatar, and Gemini Syndrome as support this April and May. Pre-sales start tomorrow and general on-sale this Friday. More info here: http://www.inthismomentofficial.com/tour
Avatars Johannes Eckerström adds “We’ve got many friends in the United States nowadays and we feel like making some new ones. We are grateful for this opportunity to hit the road. I believe this will not only be a chance to meet all our faithful Avatar Country-citizens once again, but I think there will be a busy day on our embassy following this. It’s funny that the one I look forward to the most to perform in front of this time is YOU, who won’t be reading this as you don’t know who we are yet. Boy, oh boy are you in for a treat… It’s on.” Continue reading In This Moment Announce “Half God Half Devil” Tour→
Continuing forward with a bevy of Music Milestone toasts, we have arrived at the 25th Anniversary of Rush’s 14th album “Roll The Bones”. I’ll give you a moment to shake your head in disbelief about that realization. The album was one that continued the musical transitions that had begun with the previous album “Presto” and these changes found Rush music being a lot more accepted on the radio airwaves. Yeah we might have heard the classics of the earlier years on WNEW and WPLJ etcetera, but with “Roll The Bones” you were going to also hear them on the more commercially driven radio stations. I was completely fine with this if it could somehow generate a larger interest in the band for these new fans. As always this is but a toast and less deep analysis since the numbers are well documented on Wikipedia. The reflections remain personal about the work and how it affected me as a listener at the time. Continue reading Rush’s “Roll The Bones” Still Rolling at 25 Years (1991-2016)→
