The Press Release:
Swedish Melodic Death Metallers SCAR SYMMETRY, will embark on a North American headlining tour this September. Joining them are label-mates ARSIS along with SHATTERED SUN and PAINTED IN EXILE. SCAR SYMMETRY guitarist Per Nilsson comments:
”We’re proud to announce the dates and venues for our first North American headlining tour this September! As you can see, we’ve chosen to keep this tour on the short side – but rest assured the shows will be of full length and girth! With us on this metal pilgrimage we have Virginia tech-death overlords ARSIS, Texas metalcore masterminds SHATTERED SUN and New York prog professors PAINTED IN EXILE.
“Out of all the tens of thousands of cities in North America, we have chosen to grace a mere eleven with our presence which is bound to leave some of you disappointed – but trust me, if this tour is a raging success I promise you we will come back early 2017 for another bunch of shows (yes California you’re on our mind too)! For now, spread the good word and come out to one of our shows, can’t wait to see you all!”
The news about the 30th Anniversary Tour by the crushing Metal power of Sepultura was making the rounds late yesterday via the official channels so I apologize for getting that to you a little afterward. I had another post in queue already so it comes to you now with the label press copy and image along with some liner notes from me about it. Continue along and then let’s discuss.

Formed in the year 2000 by guitarist James Malone and drummer Mike Van Dynne, Arsis delivered a Technical Death Metal epic with their first album “A Celebration Of Guilt” and this would set the ball in motion on their career and impact upon the Metal scene. Over the years the band has seen numerous lineup and record label changes nut through it all, Malone continued to map out the bands vision and molten levels of Technical Death Metal. 2014 finds the band raising a glass to the 10th Anniversary of “A Celebration Of Guilt” and will be bringing along Allegeon and Exmortus as support. You can learn more about this tour by reading the press release below the poster and then we can examine the tour dates. Get going.
