It’s time to get excited about the superhero film stuff once again because Phase 3 of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe begins here with the opening of “Captain America: Civil War”. After the massive amount of mixed opinion that DC’s Extended Universe found with “Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice” I can honestly say that I am so looking forward to this live-action adventure. Check out the official poster and the premise along with the main cast and then I will return with some thoughts.
One year after the events of “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, another international incident involving the Avengers resulting in collateral damage occurs, prompting politicians to form a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to call in the team. When Steve Rogers attempts to protect his friend Bucky Barnes from this act, he is brought into conflict with Tony Stark. This results in the fracturing of the Avengers into two opposing factions—one led by Rogers, who wishes to operate without regulation, and the other by Stark, who supports government oversight—while the world is threatened by a new enemy. Check out the second trailer below and then we can chat a little bit.
PiercingMetal Thoughts: SCREAMS!!!!!!! That’s all I have for this. So great to have the Web-Spinner in the proper Marvel Cinematic Universe at long last. I know you are excited as well, especially after that last Spider-Man film that Sony gave us. Let’s cross our fingers for the most positive of growth of this now very encompassing Marvel Universe. Full steam ahead. May cannot get here soon enough for me.
Alright my comic book film loving friends, the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Two ends here with this film as “Ant-Man” opens up in theaters everywhere and I am super duper excited for this film. Let’s check out the poster, premise and cast before I opine
