As you probably already know, the Anime NYC Convention is just around the corner and in order to guarantee our readers who might be in attendance the maximum amount of fun, I’ve been keeping up with many of the announcements. Take a look at the list HERE in order to see what has run before and now take a look at what the folks at Crunchy Roll have just revealed.

The largest dedicated anime, manga, and Japanese pop culture convention on the east coast will present three days of Japanese culture, distinctive animation, contemporary gaming, and more at Manhattan’s Javits Center (655 W 34th St) from November 15-17.

As previously announced, we are at the 2019 edition of Anime NYC, a wonderful convention that celebrates not only the love of Anime and Manga but Japanese Culture itself. With that being the case, I am sharing some of the highlighted announcements as they were revealed to the media. Enjoy.

Tokyo based Anime producing powerhouse PONY CANYON (Takashi Yoshimura, President & COO) announced the production of an Anime Film adaptation of the world-famous rhythm game “DEEMO” at a panel held during ANIME NYC (Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, NYC). “DEEMO” creator/producer Min-Yang Yu (CEO & Executive Producer of Rayark Inc.) and Mitsuhisa Ishikawa (CEO of Production I.G) confirmed that the film will be produced by Pony Canyon and Production I.G group, a partnership that has already yielded tremendous success with the global blockbuster Anime “Attack On Titan”.
The production company of the film is Signal MD (a company of I.G Port group /“Napping Princess: Signal MD (“Napping Princess: The Story of the Unknown Me”, “CYBORG009 CALL OF JUSTICE”) will join the project as the production company and will be supported by Production I.G, Japan’s leading Anime studio and creator of numerous masterpieces and global hits such as the “Attack on Titan” and “GHOST IN THE SHELL” series.

While Halloween approaches us very rapidly, the 2019 edition of Anime NYC is coming up soon after and I’ve been spotlighting some of the announcements for this years event that can be perused by clicking HERE. Anime NYC powered by Crunchyroll, New York’s largest dedicated anime, manga, and Japanese pop culture convention, will present three days of entertaining and educational programming about Japanese culture, the anime industry, gaming, and more at New York’s Javits Center (655 W 34th St) from November 15-17. There will be special industry panels from publishers across the anime and manga industry such as Aniplex, Crunchyroll, Eleven Arts, Funimation, Denpa, GKIDS, Kondansha, Sunrise, Square Enix, Vertical, VIZ, Yen Press, HIDIVE, Sentai Filmworks and more.
Over 40,000 fans are expected to convene at Anime NYC to dive into even more exclusive screenings, talks with iconic creators and industry leaders, Japanese games, and incredible concerts than were featured at the inaugural show in 2017. With over 200 hours of programming planned, fans are sure to fill the three days with unforgettable experiences.
