snowpiercer logo

It was back in October when we last discussed the TNT original series “Snowpiercer” and considering how the days bleed into each other right now, it feels like a forever ago. As I always defer to earlier posts for the completists, those who missed the teaser trailer can click HERE before continuing on to the brand new Official Trailer for the show’s second season. Enjoy.

The Premise: Snowpiercer is set in 2021, seven years after the world becomes a frozen wasteland, and follows the remnants of humanity who took shelter on a perpetually moving luxury train built by billionaire Wilford, consisting of 1001 carriages that circles the globe 2.7 times per year. The constant motion of the train provides energy and prevents the passengers from freezing as well. Since the catastrophe, the train’s population has become rigidly separated by class, caught up in a revolutionary struggle against the strictly imposed social hierarchy and unbalanced allocation of limited resources. The show explores issues of class warfare, social injustice, and the politics of survival.

Though there aren’t any conventions to attend because of the pandemic and this applies for the concerts as well since large-scale gatherings are forbidden, I am glad that we still have a whole of lot comic book and film presentations to share with you in the readership as we continue to ride this terrible storm from the safety of our homes. You might have heard that TNT has given the show “Snowpiercer” a second season and while we’ve months to go before it airs there is a teaser trailer to enjoy below. Check it out.

The First Trailer Is Here: “Deadpool” (2016)

Logo - Deadpool

Sorry for the delay my fiends but if you will forgive me I will get to sharing the first official trailer for the 2016 film “Deadpool” – I got sidelined by some tour happenings that needed to be posted first but here we go…..Oh yeah and this doesn’t say “NSFW” for no good reason, so headphones if you must watch it around your office colleagues.

The Premise: Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Some Cast:
Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson / Deadpool
Morena Baccarin as Vanessa
Ed Skrein as Ajax
T. J. Miller as Weasel
Gina Carano as Angel Dust
Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead
Andre Tricoteux as Colossus
Leslie Uggams as Blind Al

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’m always on the fence when it comes to Ryan Reynolds in a role and lets face it, almost ALL of us hated what he did in “Green Lantern”. That said I have to admit that this looks like a fantastic and fun ride. I’m willing to guess that it is going to more than make up for the disappointment that most are going to find with the other 20th Century Fox Marvel Comics property “Fantastic Four” that opens up in a couple of days. What I loved about the stuff we see here in the trailer is that it seems to capture Deadpool’s obnoxious essence pretty well. The action and violence seem on point and you parents might want to shield your kids ears from some of the colorful language. So that is all I have for this trailer, what do you readers think? Will you see this one? Let me know in the comments section below.
