Comic Titles To Find On “Free Comic Book Day” 2018

Just in case you might have forgotten, today is “Free Comic Book Day” and this is the once a year event that takes place on the first Saturday in May at participating comic book retailers. It’s a wonderful day for fans of the medium, and its name pretty much describes what happens and its the chance to get a nice stack of free comic books. I’ve been supporting this initiative for a few years now and cannot wait to head over to my local retailer. Here are some of the items that I am interested in getting copies of. The art and premise were all culled from the Official FCBD website which I’ve linked below for your own assistance. Here we go.

Marvel Comics:

Avengers/Captain America: Free Comic Book Day 2018 is your perfect chance to dive into the Marvel Universe! With a story from Jason Aaron and art by Sara Pichelli, Marvel’s FCBD title debuting this May features stories that set the stage for an epic new direction in the Marvel Universe. Marvel Comics First Issues Coming May 2018

Happy May my comic book loving readers, we are here and ready to share the months first issues and special anniversary editions that will be heading our way thanks to the fine folks at Marvel Comics. Of course, the biggest news of this morning will be the blockbuster box office take from this past weekend where we found “Avengers: Infinity War” pulling in more than $630 million dollars in the global box office tally. This film only opened up on Friday my friends, so one has to assume that it is going to be riding high for the next few weeks. I’m planning on seeing it this morning at one of the early matinees but don’t worry – I will not be spoiling it for anyone. There are a LOT of comics to showcase here so I’d better get on down to business. Here we go.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: As I’m buried in items related to Toy Fair, I am just going to keep this simple and say how excited I am for the 800th issue. Though this isn’t the recent case for me, for many years I was a religious reader of “The Amazing Spider-Man” comic book and think that my storage container has about three long boxes for this title alone. I will definitely be picking this one up in May and wonder what you comic fans think about the matter. You can let me know down in the comments section below and should they begin showcasing any variant covers, you can count on my showcasing them here as well in a brand-new post.
