With the holiday yesterday for these United States, the tour announcements that usually hit our email account are all coming in today but that is fine, I’m here to serve up as many as I think you’d find interesting. Here is the one from the folks behind Like A Storm who are co-headlining with Through Fire. Read on.
The Press Release:
Hard rockers Like A Storm and Through Fire have just announced their U.S. co-headline Firestorm Tour 2019. The tour starts on July 12th in Neillsville, WI and wraps in August 10th in Lincoln, NE and will include special guests Wilson and Stitched Up Heart. Tickets will go on sale starting Friday, May 31st.
“After touring all over the world this year, we’re so stoked to be coming back to the U.S. For this tour we wanted to put together a line-up of the best acts we could. Every band on this bill is a legit headliner, fans are definitely gonna get their money’s-worth at these shows! We’ve been mates with the Through Fire guys for years. Wilson are infamous for putting on an insane live show. And Stitched Up Heart are like family, and absolutely crushing it right now. So it’s gonna be an awesome show top-to-bottom, which is exactly what we wanted to create. High-energy, off-the-hook rock shows. All night, every night. We can’t wait to hit the road,” states Like A Storm. Continue reading Like A Storm & Through Fire Announce “Firestorm” Co-Headlining Tour→
As a frequent live concert goer, I’ve always indulged in the practice of arriving early enough to see the support acts. Over the years this has found me chatting up a bounty of talented people and many of these acts are now headliners in their own right. One of the bands are the folks over at Stitched Up Heart and they’ve recently revealed some tour dates for the Spring, and on select dates another band we’re fond of here at the Metal Media Command HQ is Kaleido. Check the poster and dates out below – I’ve only noted the ones Kaleido will be on since the rest are easily seen in the poster.
Stitched Up Heart Says: “We are excited to announce we will be playing some dates with our friends Kaleido ! Come hang out! <3"

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’m an advocate for arriving early and getting my money’s worth at a show and yes this still applies when I am using my assorted media passes because you just never know what you will see up there on the stage until you see it. Bands like Stitched Up Heart and Kaleido are also all about their fans and the support that you give them and can be found easily around the clubs they are playing or at their merch table doing signings and selfies and with so many of the giants charging an arm and a leg nowadays for the simplest of things I feel that some free stuff is a cool opportunity to take advantage of. I’ll be checking my schedule for the regionally close appearance since I’d like to check this one out as well and for those who are new to these names, just click on the Amazon.com codes for their two most recent singles. Hey, if you don’t like them after you purchase them we’ll even refund you the money from the Swiss Bank account of the PiercingMetal Media High Command HQ (fine print, no refunds will be honored as both tracks together are less than the smallest cup of Starbucks coffee). Those of you who have supported the bands should chime in and help their cause. We are all in this together after all. See you next time.
Greetings from Toy Fair 2018; I’m deeply entrenched in the massive Toy Industry Only event over at Javits Center but during a breather I saw this email tour announcement and said let’s get this online fast and furious. Here we go.
The Press Release:
Atlantic recording group Halestorm have announced details of a milestone North American tour showcasing all female-fronted hard rock outfits. The dates —co-headlined by Roadrunner recording group In This Moment— begins April 30 at Houston, TX’s White Oak Music Hall — Lawn and then travels through mid-May. See below itinerary.
Support throughout the trek comes from special guests New Years Day and Stitched Up Heart.
The tour will include stops at a number of upcoming festivals and state fairs, including Jacksonville, FL’s Rockville 2018 (April 27); Fort Lauderdale, FL’s Fort Rock (April 28); and Charlotte, NC’s Carolina Rebellion (May 5). For ticket information and VIP packages, please go here.
“We’ve been wanting to put together a tour like this for a long time,” says Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale. “We are a few of the hardest working women in rock, so the fact that we are all on the same stage every night is something not to be missed! We support and love each other, and we are representing our genre. This lineup is a beautiful display of what it means to be a strong female example for rock fans everywhere.” Continue reading In This Moment & Halestorm Announce Co-Headlining Tour→
My May is already looking like a steamroller based on all the upcoming shows, comic book releases and opening films and let’s not overlook the constantly being added tours. That said, the folks in Stitched Up Heart have announced a month long headlining run and you can learn about it below. Check out the poster, press release and dates. I’ll close it up with additional thoughts. Here we go.
The Press Release:
Los Angeles-based Hard Rock outfit STITCHED UP HEART have announced their upcoming Summer headlining tour. The month long trek, titled the “Hearts in Hell” tour, is set to begin in Las Vegas, NV on June 2 and will feature direct support from Hell or Highwater. Stitched Up Heart continue to tour on the strength of their Century Media debut album, Never Alone, featuring the singles “Finally Free”, “Monster” and “Catch Me When I Fall”. Meanwhile, Hell or Highwater are primed to release their new record, Vista, on May 19th (featuring the single “I Want It All”).
Speaking about the band’s upcoming tour, Stitched Up Heart frontwoman Alecia “Mixi” Demner comments:
“We could not be more excited to start the ‘Hearts In Hell’ tour! The last couple months away from the road have given us time to come up with some awesome surprises for this tour. We’re also very happy to be bringing our friends in Hell Or Highwater along for the action! We can all remember seeing when they were first starting out playing at dives in Anaheim. So come get wild with us and see a killer show!” Continue reading Stitched Up Heart Announce “Hearts In Hell” Headlining Tour→
Fans of former Flyleaf singer Lacey Sturm might be excited at the notion of her upcoming headlining tour with the band Palisades, Stitched Up Heart and up and comers Letters From The Fire. Check out the cool poster.
PiercingMetal Thoughts: So I didn’t line out all the venues that she is performing at since I didn’t have an easy run down to copy and paste for you but everything is noted as far as cities go in the poster and if you click on THIS LINK you will be brought to Lacey’s touring page that denotes the stops. I just love that Lacey refers to her fans as “Sturmtroopers”. I find that hilarious especially since I am posting this particular touring notice on the release date for “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”. Now I must admit that I never really followed Flyleaf or Lacey’s solo career afterwards so if I go to this show when it comes to NYC at The Marlin Room, its pretty much all going to be new to my musical mind. I have seen Stitched Up Heart a few times and love what they do AND have seen the singer for Letters From The Fire fronting another group as a fill in and she rocks. This is the kind of show that is musical education to me from beginning to end and I am going to arrive early and stay late. I suggest you do the same. It drops by our region in early February and I wonder what you readers think about this one. Will you be heading to one of the shows? What are we in store for as newbies? Any insight is welcome.
