Hopefully the trailer that was released during the Comic Con International: San Diego got you all geared up for the new season because the moment is finally here. If you missed the trailer just click on THIS LINK to catch up and then sit down at 9pm (depending on your location) and tune into AMC as “The Walking Dead” returns for Season 8. I’ve added some S7 premise below the intense poster and will close out with some brief thoughts after the casting is recanted.
Season 7 Overview: This season adapts material from issues #100–114 of the comic book series and focuses on the oppressive group of survivors known as the Saviors, led by the vindictive Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Negan uses numbers, power and lethal brutality to coerce Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), his group of survivors, and the Alexandria Safe-Zone to make regular offerings of supplies and weapons for the Saviors. Eventually, Rick and his group seek allies to help them confront Negan, including members of the survivor communities of the Hilltop, the Kingdom, Oceanside, and the Scavengers, who have had their own dealings with Negan and the Saviors. I guess its safe to assume that a season trailer that attendees of the Comic Con International: San Diego are always looking forward to is the one for “The Walking Dead”. The show is beyond mega-popular at this point and is the source of a lot of peoples frustrations with Facebook since the spoiler folks love to say that something happened on their feed the second after it happens. I view that as a d–k move for sure but have learned to stay off the social network until I get to watch it since I was running out of people to unfriend after ruining it for me. With that said here is the recently revealed Season “8” trailer. Enjoy.
About The Show: After “7” seasons I am not really sure that I need to cite what the show is about but if you have just arrived to our planet or are waking from a lengthy coma as our principle character Rick Grimes did some years ago now, “The Walking Dead” is about life in a world besieged by the dead. Sadly, sometimes the zombies are not the worst thing that our survivors have to deal with and there you go. Continue reading Here’s “The Walking Dead” Season 8 Official Comic-Con Trailer→
There have been so many awesome happenings on the small screen these last couple of months that I wanted to make sure that you didn’t forget that “The Walking Dead” returns this evening with its mid-season premiere. The show poster is pretty cool and it seems like the game is getting upped once more.
First Half Recap: Okay so we officially met Negan at the end of S6 and when S7 premiered he really made you hate him. He dispatched a number of the cast we had come to love over the last few seasons such as Glenn and Abraham in an absolutely brutal fashion. The scenes were so jarring that people complained that it was too much and that amazed me. If a show about zombies making short work of humanity and the remaining living being absolute f–ks to people is off-putting to you DON’T WATCH IT. Believe me when I say that the comic book series are far more “Yikes”. Negan is a frigging douche canoe for sure and he reminded us of this in every scene he was in. Morgan does a stellar job in the role because you absolutely hate the character with levels of venom you normally wouldn’t expect to direct at the television. Let’s hope that Daryl and Rick Grimes take care of business and move onto the next insidious scenario. We also met the weird King Ezekial and his Kingdom during the first half and I’d like to see these folks taking a more prominent and positive stand for the outcomes. Here is some casting. I’ve left off those no longer with us 🙁 Continue reading Tonight: “The Walking Dead” Season 7 – Mid-Season Premiere on AMC→
I’m sure that you remember how the previous season of the AMC Original Series “The Walking Dead” ended and if you didn’t you best check the listings to see if your area is showing that episode in advance of tonight’s season premiere. It was the episode where we finally met the dreaded Negan and he is for certain an SOB if you will pardon my French. Life just got harder for our happy go lucky cast of zombie apocalypse wanderers.
Season 6 Recap: The residents of Alexandria put more trust in Rick’s group to protect the town better. A group known as the Wolves use a zombie horde to attack Alexandria, and many lives are lost before the living regain control. While recovering, they learn of a community called the Hilltop, who offer to help trade supplies if they can end the threat of the extortionist Saviors led by a man named Negan. Although Rick’s group decimate one Savior outpost, they are later caught by Negan, and forced to swear loyalty to him. Continue reading Tonight: “The Walking Dead” S7 on AMC (10/23/2016)→
You’ve waited patiently and developed severe levels of anxiety after the mid-season finale of “The Walking Dead” with its nothing less than a “HOLY SH*T” moment at the climax and if you have not yet seen that for some strange reason, be happy that I am not willing to spoil it for you. Now the waiting is over and the hit series returns to give us the rest of Season Five, check out the poster below. I like the premise “The New Worlds Gonna Need Rick Grimes”. That sounds ominous to me. Do you agree?
Below are the casting parts for the first half of Season 5 and as you might expect with TWD, there are a few that are no longer wandering the long road to whatever lies ahead as the second act begins. I’ve left them in placeto not ruin for those folks who are super late to the viewing game.
