When I saw these Misfits enamel pins I knew that I had to share them with you and since the information about them came in a double-loaded press release I am adding the other part in here as well. Take a look at the pins first and then you can examine the Blondie Throbblehead figure.
THAT’S RIGHT… SHE’S BACK! And we’ve got a limited number available to offer to our awesome customers.
Debbie Harry rose from the 1970s New York club scene to international stardom with Blondie, and now this punk-rock chanteuse is presented as a limited edition, hand-numbered bobble head by Drastic Plastic. Debbie is rendered with her iconic white dress and golden locks. The doll stands approximately seven inches high and is cast in durable polyresin for stability and exquisite detail.
PiercingMetal Thoughts: Before I continue, did you know that Blondie just recently announced a new tour? She did and I covered that in full on THIS LINK. The Punk legend is 70 years old if you can believe it so make sure to get yourself to that tour. Hell, if she is doing any sort of VIP meet and greet you might want to have one of these Throbbleheads with you for her to sign it for your collection. I must have the pins that’s for sure but as far as the bobbles go, I’m not really a collector of these kinds of things and am more of an action figure sort of guy but I wonder what you think of this new offering. Let me know in the comments section below.
I’ve been enjoying the offerings from the folks at Aggronautix in terms of their limited production releases known as “Throbbleheads” and since there is so much of a Metal and Punk focus to them wanted to share this press release about an item featuring the comic series “Henry and Glenn”. Check it out.
The Press Release:
The collected graphic novel of the greatest love story ever told features twenty short stories about the domestic life of “Henry” and “Glenn” as well as their neighbors “Daryl” and “John.” Digging beneath Glenn’s bricks in the front yard, Henry uncovers Glenn’s mother, freshly unearthed, moves in with him and Henry. Without giving too much away, [spoiler alert: Glenn has mommy issues] Glenn’s mommy issues come to the surface as she critiques his art, replaces his wardrobe, scrubs their dungeon, and recalls his childhood. Glenn tries to sell his signature to a UPS driver, takes a punch, and has some daydreaming adventures with a plunger. Henry, “a loud guy with a good work ethic,” shows his darker side and indifference to a fan as he drinks black coffee and bonds with Glenn over their distaste for their own bands; two men who suffer best alone together.
I’ve been getting a lot of press releases from the fine fiends at Aggronautix and since we’ve been doing topical toy items when they relate to the comics and music interests I want to share them with you. This is one of the company’s own branded “THROBBLEHEADS” and this one is an homage to the late great Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead. Check out the images below and the details on how to get one.
Introducing the LEMMY bobblehead by Drastic Plastic! LIMITED TO 2000 – SHIPS LATE JAN / EARLY FEB
