Steely Dan & The Doobie Brothers Announce Co-Headline Summer Tour

To say that it has been cold in NYC over the last few days is an understatement. I thought that I was seeing things when my mobile showed me the real feel temperature was minus 15 to minus 25 degrees at times and with today being a “high” of 27 degrees, it feels like summer by comparison. Speaking of summer, the tour dates are already starting to manifest and one such tour is the pairing of two legendary acts Steely Day and The Doobie Brothers. Check out the full press release and dates below, and I’ll return at the close.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Truth be told, despite enjoying a number of tracks from each of the bands massive catalogs, I have never gotten to see them in concert over the years. This admission makes me even sadder now with the recent passing of Steely Dan co-founder Walter Becker. Though I cannot speak to how his absence will affect the bands sound and presentation, perhaps some of you diehard readers can. I’d like to catch one of these shows but the timing is all based on family vacations with me but that doesn’t mean I don’t wonder what you readers think about it.
