To Our Star Wars Celebration Fans and Friends:
At Star Wars Celebration, the health and safety of our fans, attendees, exhibitors, guests and staff is always our number one priority. Due to the global impact of the COVID-19 virus and in speaking with local and state authorities on the latest public health guidelines related to indoor conventions, we have made the decision to cancel Star Wars Celebration for 2020. While this news is disappointing, we are happy to announce that Star Wars Celebration will return to the Anaheim Convention Center on August 18-21, 2022.

Tickets, Transfers and Refunds:
Fans who purchased tickets can receive a refund or have their tickets transferred to the new event dates, recieve a refund or recieve a credit for Star Wars Celebration merchandise. As a token of our appreciation and to thank all Star Wars Celbration 2020 fans who choose to transfer their tickets to the 2022 how, we are excited to offer a free exclusive Star Wars Celebration stormtrooper character pin for all transferred tickets. All information about transferring your tickets or requesting a refund can be found at the link below. All ticket holders will receive and e-mail with detailed instructions on how to submit your request.

If you pre-ordered merchandise you have the option to still receive your order, or you may request a refund.

Please note: All of the incredible, exclusive merchandise planned for Star Wars Celebration Anaheim will be available for purchase online in the not so distant future and fans that choose to recieve a merchandise credit will be able to use it at that time.

The ticket refund and merchandise credit request period will open on Monday June 22nd and must be completed by August 26th, 2020. Additionally, if you’ve booked a hotel in theofficial room block through our housing portal, your reservation will automatically be cancelled. Please remember to adjust any additional travel arrangements you may have.

We hope you are staying safe and healthy during these challenging times. We look forward to coming back together and celebrating with you in person at Star Wars Celebration 2022.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I can’t say that this news surprises me at all considering the continued infiltration of the dreaded Coronavirus. Sure there are areas that are less impacted at this time but its moving along the country and hitting areas where it wasn’t too bad before. Event cancellations are no longer new news for outlets like this one as we’ve already reported how the Comic Con International: San Diego, New York International Auto Show and The Flame Con among many other events have been cancelled for this year or gone virtual. There are likely more cancellations on the horizon in terms of conventions, concerts and other large assemblies so stay tuned. We were not planning on being at this event based on the logistics and financials involved in our properly doing it but perhaps by 2022’s happening all that can be better sorted out because this is something I’d love to participate in. That’s all I have for now my friends and I hope you are remaining safe and following whatever guidelines are put in place by your own regions governing powers that be.
