As mentioned a few posts ago, I was on point at the annual New York Comic Con as a member of the Geek Press and covering for this here PiercingMetal website. Since this was my 10th Annual convention, I wanted to make the posts a little more special and now that you’ve enjoyed all of the “Day One” stuff, it’s time to shine a spotlight on our friends over at Mezco Toyz. If you’re just joining us, you’re going to want to make sure you’re up to speed on ALL of the NYCC stuff so do click HERE before continuing. Let’s go…
When I got to the Mezco Toyz booth, there was a massive line to get the NYCC Exclusive “Gomez”. That’s the company’s cockroach mascot who’s been made into an action figure and I have to say that their specialized creations about him have been nothing short of amazing.
These two giant figures look amazing in person and up close but they will run you a few bucks. More for the extreme collector for sure.
Next up are several items from their “Five Points” line and I am really stoked about a number of the properties that will be hitting the shelves. I think most of you know that I lean to the superhero side of the fence so you would know which ones I want straight away.
Here are some of the newest “Living Dead Dolls”. These have remained a constant in the realms of awesome for many years now and though I’ve never collected them myself, I do want several of them at this point.
If you’ve ever wanted a creepier, spookier version of the popular Jack-In-The-Box, then these “Burst-A-Box” items will surely appease you.
If you have the room you might like some of these large-scale figures. Most of these are not my personal “thing” in terms of collecting but I sure do like that classic 60’s Adam West Batman.
Since I was unable to do so during the Thursday frenzy for the exclusives, I returned on the Friday to secure some images that I missed the first time around. These few visuals highlight the companies One:12 Collective line which we are BIG fans of here at the Metal Media Command HQ. I don’t have many of them per se but I do really love these.
That brings me to the end of this special spotlight on Mezco Toyz. I hope you enjoyed it. Stay tuned for the “Day Two” visuals from New York Comic Con 2019, we’ve only just begun and you’re going to love it all.
