When I first shared the debut trailer for the Memorial Day opening film “Brightburn”, we mostly got a lot of setup stuff and if you want to still check that one out just click HERE since its always good to have you up to speed. This recently released second trailer gives us a little more insight into the insidious nature of this strange visitor from another planet and his powers and abilities. Check it out.
Synopsis: “What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister? In this horrific take on the classic superhero trope, a couple adopts a baby who came from the stars. While they attempt to raise the boy to use his powers for good, an evil begins to grow inside that he unleashes.”
Elizabeth Banks as Tori Breyer
David Denman as Mr. Breyer
Jackson A. Dunn as Brandon Breyer
PiercingMetal Thoughts: I still feel that this could be interesting but there are a LOT of superhero films to content with around these next few months. “Captain Marvel” opens tomorrow in theaters everywhere and then there is “Avengers: Endgame” which I feel will be stopping time for many of the cinephiles that I know. There is also “Dark Phoenix” and “Hellboy” so like I said a busy time for the geeks and our interests. Will this group embrace a sinister Superman power level youth? Especially one that is not in the canon that they might want it to be? Only time will tell so chime in down below and tell me what you thought about the longer more in-depth trailer. Thanks as always for reading, now I need to decide whether I am seeing “Captain Marvel” on the day it opens or not. I am attending the Big Apple Comic Con this weekend and really don’t want to have anyone spoiling it. See you next time.
