Hello there my friends and let’s start off the day right by revisiting my adventures at the 2019 New York Comic Con. As most of you know, we spread this out across numerous days and individual chapters to let you absorb it all the more easily. This is Part Two of Day Two and if you’re only just joining us you’re going to want to click HERE first and see all of the content that’s been posted before this installment. This is a fun chapter and starts with the band Skillet who were making an appearance at a SyFy network interview series that ran across the convention. The group just did an exciting show in NYC with the band Alter Bridge and have released their own original graphic novel “Eden” on Z2 Comics. I’ll add a purchase link down below at the end.
We just love the coolness that our friends at Rock Love keep on dishing out. There is some very stylish stuff to enjoy and maybe next year I will give them their own posting on here or over on “The Chronicles” like I did with that spotlight feature on Mezco Toys from a couple of days ago. I hope you liked that as there are more surprises coming but I digress. Take a look at these cool offerings.
Our friends over at The Pop Insider had the massive Transformers Unicron action figure on display. Sadly I didn’t think to do a scale photo but trust me this is a big one. It’s part of the Haslab creations and will only be put into production if it meets the Kickstarter goal. If you are a diehard Transformers fan and must have this one, you will need a decent amount of surplus cash and a sizable space in your living quarters to display him.
The folks at Figpin were here as well and we first met them at Toy Fair earlier in the year. They had a massive line of collectors trying to get the convention exclusives so I could only take a photo of the signage. I currently own five Figpins, one is David Bowie and the other four are KISS in their “Love Gun” era outfits. I suggested that the company do numerous eras of KISS and perhaps even bands like Misfits and Ghost.
As I loaded these photos in there was a part of me that wondered do I leave them on PiercingMetal or do I place them over on “The Chronicles” and the lack of time to do anything on my other website finds them remaining here. We think that the “I Heart Guts” stuff is hella cute so please enjoy their little section.
Skillet singer John Cooper was doing some interviews at the convention but not with our outlet since I always have a full plate here. I did manage to get a quick promo shot of him with the new graphic novel. Remember there is going to be an Amazon.com purchase link at the bottom of this narrative for those interested in ordering a copy.
That brings us to the end of Day Two Part Two but please stay tuned because while other Metal and Pop Culture stuff fills your mobile devices, I am going to keep on running these adventures until we get to the end of the Day Four stuff. Be sure to click through some of these website links down below and even investigate a couple of the purchases that I have made accessible for you. Don’t forget to follow PiercingMetal on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube so you don’t miss a second of the fun. See you next time.
