PiercingMetal Thoughts: Though I’ve been a fan of the music of Queen for decades, I’ve never managed to catch them in concert at all. It’s without question that I regret missing the classic tours with the late great Freddie Mercury but I had to say that I was even intrigued by the work they did with Paul Rodgers a few years back. Some hated that but I was among the folks who found it an interesting curiosity. Fast forwarding to the team-up on American Idol that Lambert did with them made me hope that an eventual touring prospect would be possible and now here we are at the their second or third go round together. Lambert really possesses a sonic register that helps bring Mercury’s lines to life with excellence and what can I say about the great Brian May and his guitar work that hasn’t already been said along with the tactical time-keeping of Roger Taylor. After seeing numerous clips on YouTube.com I know that I have to be at one of these regional appearances since the shows in my neck of the woods are going to make the summer even hotter. So what do you think about this touring itinerary? Will you be looking into hitting any of these shows? Let me know in the comments section below.
