Hey my fellow fandom fiends “welcome back”; This is our fourth and final chapter of the Day Two adventuring at the 2012 NY Comic Con. I’ve been having a blast so far and will keep my summaries quick and to the point so you can appreciate all the images a little easier. Let’s get down to business and start out by checking out some fans plays Quiddich (the game from “Harry Potter and The Sorceror’s Stone”.
Here we see the lines for the “Autographing Area” which was set up in the basement region this time. The Javits Center reconfigures to everything it needs to be so it was interesting to see it like this when at one time the Anime Convention had been set up down here. I did not get on line for anything since I really didn’t want to meet anyone in particular.
One of the many friendly staffers down in the Autograph Area. Did you know that you are not allowed to take photos of any of the celebs? Even from afar they will attempt to block your shot. It’s kind of annoying when you are trying to do press for the event and the personality who is there but oh well I can understand what they are doing here in some sense.
The giant banner of “The Walking Dead” hung above us in the hall region. The show is growing in popularity by the episode and even was reflected on our badges for the Con which I believe I shared with you already. If not, stay tuned. Are you watching “The Walking Dead” yet? If not there is still time to catch it On Demand or on Netflix.
Some cool Dr. Who stuff, and no the Dalek is NOT a Cosplay but its also not a real Dalek 🙂 These items were set up around a whole booth dedicated to Dr. Who merchandise. I also think someone from the show was going to make an appearance. Not sure who though.
Hey check these things out, they are called “Magnet Balls” and they really reminded me of the “Nanodots” that I saw at Toy Fair last year. I didn’t really stop at the booth since I was in a rush but I wonder if this is connected to the company, a new name or perhaps a competing brand. Will have to check up on that. I loved the Nanodots for sure. Fun stuff but really not for small children based on the size of the things.
And now more Cosplayers. A lovely lady in red. I guess she was Jessica Rabbit? Correct me if I am wrong here people.
An Alice In Wonderland and X-23 Cosplay are ready to strike.
Probably the coolest Galactus head gear I have ever run across, at least at a Con.
Exceptional Taschen editions of some fine DC Comics historical works and some other notable tomes. Taschen is not for the finance minded collector I am afraid as these books will cost you a pretty penny. They are fantastic though.
Just a couple of Jokers Hahahahahaha 🙂
A super sexy Psylocke for sure.
This Harley Quinn Cosplay is carrying around her own Batman and its likely a voodoo doll.
If you have ever thought of building Gandalf The Grey or Frodo in Lego bricks then let me tell you that it has already been done. See below.
This poor girl was charged with putting all the Lego pieces back into the bins. This could not have been a fun task but she was smiling.
These Cosplayers were awesome in their Silver Age Flash cosplay and Mary Marvel cosplay. Nice job guys.
The New Gen creations are alive and ready to strike at Comic Con…….
Here is a great group of Batman Rogues in Cosplay. Catwoman, err man along with Joker, Poison Ivy and Harley.
A table for First Comics. I used to read them a lot back in the day. I think I should investigate their offerings again.
Here’s the White Spy looking for the Black Spy in this great Cosplay of Mad Magazine’s awesome and long running strip “Spy vs. Spy”.
Okay so that about does it for our “Day Two” part of the wanderings. I know that I promised to deliver at least fifty images per post but I ran out of the bounty from this day after shot #177. Not to worry, you have three other posts from this day to enjoy and tomorrow is the focus on the Saturday session so that is going to likely be the biggest haul. Stay tuned for that posting, and by all means do click the website links below to show these creative outlets some proper love. They deserve it. See you next time. If you would like something to do while you wait you can also come give a like to our Official Facebook Page.
