Well my friends, the moment has arrived and Venom will be taking over the big screen in this Sony Pictures release (in association with Marvel Entertainment) for the film that bears his name – “VENOM”. Are you excited about this? I’ll offer up my thoughts after you glean the Official poster along with the premise and casting down below.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I guess its time to repeat myself with the notion that I am not too sure how I feel about a Venom character without the Amazing Spider-Man involved at any point and despite the apparent nonstop action and violence – Sony has really taken some liberties with his origin story. I cannot see it on the opening weekend since I will be at the NY Comic Con and I am sure that people will be discussing it, so I hope I get some true opinion and not too many spoilers. It’s going to be tricky since over 100K people attend that massive happening at the Javits Center. I’m on the fence for sure and teetering by a spiderweb so to speak. If anything I will likely hit this next week during the $6 matinee at my local theater. It’s been leaked about other characters making their appearance here as well in this Sony Spiderverse and with Disney now in control of both the X-Men and Fantastic Four its time for the web-spinner to come back home as well. Remember Sony, the only reason that “Spider-Man: Homecoming” was any good was because Marvel Studios did all the legwork – All you did was pay for it and speaking frankly they could have as well had it been under their careful creative hands. If the film bombs early perhaps we shall get our wish before any more “Justice League” level financial disasters happen. Anyway let me get off the soapbox and carry on with my NY Comic Con preparation. I am hitting this event for all of its four days and yesterday was a crazy start for sure. Hit up our socials to keep in pace with me because we get deep into the mix for sure. Closing up I wonder if you folks are seeing this early in the run or not at all or waiting for cable, whatever. Just chime in down below – now where is that Deadpool mask (just kidding I don’t dress up for NYCC).
