A few months ago, I shared the trailers for a Korean horror film called “Train To Busan” and I really liked what I saw in these clips. You can check them out as well by clicking HERE if this is new news to you at all. Now, based on the response to the film there is a prequel that gives us (in animated form) the events that led up to the film. This is “Seoul Station”. Check it out.
Taking place in and around Seoul station, a young runaway woman must try to survive in a world that sees her as disposable. The story revolves around two main characters: Suk-gyu, a father who searches for his runaway daughter, only to discover she has become a prostitute. Just as he is about to be reunited with her, a zombie epidemic breaks out in Seoul.
Ryu Seung-ryong as Suk-gyu
Shim Eun-kyung as Hye-Sun
Lee Joon as Ki-woong
PiercingMetal Thoughts: Sadly, I never managed to get around to seeing the film that “followed” this story which was the live-action, run for your life from zombie extravaganza known as “Train To Busan”, but now I need to see all of them. Hopefully this stuff will be streamed on Netflix since I am paying for it and running out of shows that I like unless there is a brand-new Marvel Studios series to enjoy.
