Music Luminaries Share Their New Year’s Metal Resolutions for 2012: Part 6

“And now the end is near, and so I face the final curtain” That was how Frank Sinatra sang it right? Well, while I don’t mean it in exactly the same dramatic sense that Frank did we are at the official end of 2011. How was it for you? Did you enjoy it? Did you hate it beyond all reproach? All in all I hope that some good came your way as opposed to bad and if not, the time is almost here to start one more time all over again. It’s also time for me to continue sharing some of the music worlds New Year’s Metal (or Musical) Resolutions for 2012 with you. This feature has been great fun and I already want to do this again next year (unless lottery winnings find me living on some remote island with no Internet access). Dig in my friends.

John Comprix (guitars for Beyond Fear/Ringworm/Tim “Ripper” Owens): My New Year’s Metal Reso is too complete some personal solo stuff I’m doing and go to the shooting range more. I like to blow shit up! And of course write and play more Metal than a human body can withstand.

Marcela Bovio (lead vocals for Stream Of Passion): My New Year’s Musical Resolutions for 2012 are to keep improving my vocal skills, and to take my songwriting skills to another level!

Paul Ablaze (vocals for Blackguard): My Metal Resolution; Well I suppose the obvious resolution would be to write an even better follow up to our last record “Firefight”. We’re currently starting to get ideas down and I’m excited to see what direction we go. On a more personal note I’m currently learning piano and would resolve to be somewhat proficient in it one day LOL.

Gina Stile (guitars for Thunderboxxx, former Vixen): Thank you for asking! There are actually two! My first is getting my first Tattoo, I have been threatening for a while, but I am definitely going to do! I have one that means a lot to me, but I have been chicken! The other is to spread Thundercheer around the world!

Melissa Ferlaak-Koch (singer of Echoterra): To answer this question: My new years Metal Resolution for 2012 is to finish and release the next Echoterra album before the year’s end. And we are well on our way! [:)] Our first is online already to enjoy.

Thorsten Bauer “Tosso” (guitars for Leaves Eyes/Atrocity): As a German my resolution for 2012: Germaniac Krautrock Metal with Deutschmark Ueberangst influences is the next big thing in 2012. Dont take it too seriously, HAHA…all just fun.

Chris Caffery (guitars for Savatage, Trans-Siberian Orchestra): My Metal resolution is to just keep doing what I always do…make music…also continue to work with Steve Seabury as we put High River Sauces on the map! I love watching my award winning “Tears of the Sun” hot sauce continue to create a huge buzz in the foodie world. Oh and to stay away from shellfish because that would kill me as I realized I have developed a shellfish allergy.

Jeff Plate (drummer for Machines Of Grace, Chris Caffery, Savatage, Trans-Siberian Orchestra): New Years Metal Resolution: Stay in shape, keep practicing, keep trying to improve, and keep supporting all of the great music and tours (especially Metal!) that will come in 2012… I’m looking forward to another great year! Happy New Year!

Roxanne Constantin (bassist/keyboards for Quo Vadis): Been listening to Julie London quite a bit lately. My musical resolution for this year is to cover famous Metal anthems in a jazzy style. Happy New Year!

There you have it folks. Done with the year and our last posting on the Official Blog for 2011. I hope you all have a fun but safe New Year’s Eve. Don’t overdue it and ruin it for yourself but do try to have a good time with good friends and crank up the Metal nice and loud. We shall see you back at this same bat channel at various times in 2012. You can count on that. Signing off now.
