It was just a short time ago that Festival founder Michael Lang announced the lineup for the upcoming “Woodstock 50th” Festival which will take place in late August, up in Watkins Glen New York. Lang is most famously known for being one of the creators of the original Woodstock Music and Arts Festival from 1969. Take a look at the poster below and to keep it easy on those needed glasses or reading on a smaller screened mobile device, I’ve typed up all of the names as well.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Generally speaking, I don’t get to too many festivals despite some interest in them and while the idea of this one was interesting to me at the onset, there is a part of me that feels rather let down by the overall presentation of artists performing. Perhaps it was the management powers that be that prevented the remaining members of Starship and other bands of this type from joining in but I was not at those pitch meetings to know for sure what was involved. Now I should also add that this is pretty far off the mark from where Woodstock actually happened and Watkins Glen is a three hour drive from that site. People coming from my neck of the woods down in Brooklyn or Queens will have an almost five hour drive as there is no mass transit heading that way. All of these factors make me give this a hard pass for sure. What do you readers think about this one? Chime in down below in the comments section with your thoughts and who you had hoped to be revealed as a performer on it but doesn’t seem to be based on the reveal. Thanks for reading.
