The Press Release:
One:12 Collective Superman – 1978 Edition – “You’ll believe a man can fly.”
Based on Richard Donner’s Academy Award nominated film “Superman”, the Man of Steel joins the One:12 Collective.
The One:12 Collective Superman – 1978 Edition is outfitted in his iconic suit from the film, which proudly displays the ‘House of El’ family crest and features a cape with an integrated posing wire. Two head portraits are included depicting Christopher Reeves portrayal of Superman. The Last Son of Krypton comes complete with a Fortress of Solitude base that features a light-up function which can be activated by specific placement of the included Kryptonian crystal, or via an on/off switch.
Superman comes with a range of Kryptonite accessories including a fragment which can be held in his left hand, and a Kryponite pendant with a real chain, as used by Lex Luthor in the film.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: This latest One:12 Collective looks absolutely fantastic and the resemblance in the facial features to the late great Christopher Reeve is uncanny. Though I am giving up my vintage, I remember seeing this film in the theater when it was first released and to say that I left the place with levels of wonder and belief in heroes would be an understatement. Sorry, I’ve lost mental track for a moment with that pleasant memory so back onto the figure. We’ve talked about the One:12 Collective a few times already here on the website and this kind of figure is for the diehard collector who demands nothing less than the utmost of quality. The price point might keep the casual fan away but those who are building a certain kind of set to display or photograph, this is certainly an item for them. What do you collectors think about this one? Are you double checking your credit card statement for such indulgences? Chime in down below.
