“By Odin’s Beard” the time has finally come for a quick glimpse at the upcoming Marvel Studios feature film “Thor: Ragnarok”; I’m excited about this one so let’s have a look down below. I’ve also shared some premise and casting for good measure, but I generally do that here.
After the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor, held captive on the planet Sakaar without his hammer, must win a gladiatorial duel against an old friend — the Hulk — in order to return to Asgard in time to stop the villainous Hela and the impending Ragnarök, the doom of the Asgardian civilization.
Chris Hemsworth as Thor
Tom Hiddleston as Loki
Cate Blanchett as Hela
Idris Elba as Heimdall
Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster
Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie
Karl Urban as Skurge
Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk
Anthony Hopkins as Odin
Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange/Doctor Strange
Sam Neill is cast in an undisclosed role
Waititi makes a cameo appearance in the film
PiercingMetal Thoughts: As a general rule of thumb I keep the opinion quick on the teaser trailers and hold out for the longer one that usually comes a month after but I will say that I like what I see here. First and foremost is the headgear being sported by the villainous Hela. That looks terrific and I am glad that it was done proper. Of course we love the Hulk but the short hair on Thor doesn’t appeal to me. Oh well, you readers can let me know what you think down in the comments below and to send you off here is the first in the probably line of teaser posters. See you next time.
