Our April adventures into Comic Book mania continues with the first issue offerings from Marvel Comics and I am not going to dance around on this any further and instead get us right into the coolness. PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’m sure excited about a few of these titles and while I think it’s awesome that a new Black Panther title is being offered up, I never really followed the character outside of his participation in The Avengers. I’m probably going to wait for the first few issues to hit a collected edition for this one and stick to the oddball Gwenpool title and the new Moon Knight series. With Spider-Gwen and Deadpool making serious waves in their own titles in the Marvel Universe, I am sure that the light hearted insanity found in Gwenpool is going to be a hit as well. Moon Knight is a character I always enjoyed and this is ever since his appearance in “Werewolf By Night”. I remembered how excited the other fans were when his first issue came out so many years ago. Welcome back to the racks Mr. Spector and hopefully we shall see you somewhere in the Marvel Cinematic Universe soon. This also goes for the Spider-Women title because it will bring together a few interesting characters and maybe we shall also find them in an upcoming film someday. Let’s hope because Disney has announced that we shall be seeing Marvel and Star Wars films for as long as they can release them. Speaking of Star Wars, I’m not really following all of the “Star Wars” titles so will likely pass on the Poe Dameron series as well. For me personally these are easier enjoyed in a trade volume. So that is all I have and its almost time for PiercingMetal’s 11th Anniversary (it’s tomorrow actually for those who are new to the presentation). Let me know what you think of these first issue Marvel Comics in the comments section and I will see you again soon with more of this stuff.
