Released at the same time as the CD bearing the same name comes the live concert DVD from Sepultura. The Metal legends seem to pull out all of the stops to give you the best possible DVD concert that they can. As everyone knows the band no longer features Max Cavalera and instead showcases the talents of American singer Derrick Green. His different vocal register gives a little bit of difference to the older material and brings new life to the direction the band is following with him at the helm. The CD of this concert is more for the diehard purist who will enjoy it no matter what while the DVD will have a larger level of appeal. I admit I went into the release with only a fair amount of knowledge of Sepultura music for while I was hard core into the Metal they were just never a band I followed. The concert DVD comes in two parts with the first being the full show that is on the CD and a couple of bonus clips to close it out. The performance is enhanced for the crazed Brazilian audience by bringing out special guests during the show including Jairo Guedz, Alex Kolesne, Zé Gonzáles, B- Negao, & João Gordo. Given these guests included a former member of the band and someone from Krisiun you can imagine that they went over very well in the eyes of the crowd. I felt that Sepultura did a good job on this piece even though a lot of shots are on the dark side. This is the fault of the stage lighting used and not the band themselves. The vocals are mostly hard core in nature and growls the main focus through the songs that cover every album that the band has released.

Bonus Features: DVD2 is loaded with features to enjoy. Here is the run down: 1. Documentary 2. Mind War (video), 3. Bullet the blue Sky (video), 4. Choke (video), 5. Nomad (live), 6. Desperate City (live), 7. Territory (live), 8. Slideshow, 9. Credits. The videos were fine and the documentary gives a nice view of some of Brazil which is very nice to see. Derrick cites how he came to be part of the band, but it was a little hard to understand him at times. Best play this segment loud.

The DVD is a little easier to enjoy for the casual fan as it’s a solid performance musically and the appearance of the guests make it a lot more fun. Diehards will find this a worthy addition to their Sepultura collection. Fans that hold on for Max’s return need to get over it and get used to Derrick Green as its his turn to bring in the future with this legendary band.
