Sequels and prequels and continuations many years later are no longer something new when it comes to popular film franchises. Last year we saw “Halloween” returning with a film that discounted all of the films passed the first one and now John Rambo (played by Sylvester Stallone) has returned for the “final” installment in his Rambo series of high-action films. This one takes place some years after the fourth installment but I am not sure how much time has actually passed. Either way, the teaser trailer is here for us to examine so let’s get to that.

The Premise: John Rambo travels to Mexico to save a friend’s daughter who has been kidnapped by the Mexican cartel.

The Cast:
Sylvester Stallone as John J. Rambo
Paz Vega as Carmen Delgado
Sergio Peris-Mencheta as Hugo Martinez
Adriana Barraza as Maria Beltran
Yvette Monreal as Gabrielle
Genie Kim aka Yenah Han
Joaquín Cosío
Óscar Jaenada as Victor Martinez
Louis Mandylor as Sheriff
Sheila Shah as Alejandra
Díana Bermudez as Juanita
Jessica Madsen
Dimitri Vegas

PiercingMetal Thoughts: As you know I generally don’t spend a lot of time on the teaser clips and wait for the longer one but this one was right on point with what we expect in a film that features John Rambo. I really enjoyed the first three films but don’t recall ever seeing the 4th installment which was just titled “Rambo” and yet unlike the “John Wick” series of films, I don’t think that I need that one under my belt to see the upcoming new one. I’ll close up now and leave it as always by asking you what you thought about this clip and does it raise some interest in you. You readers can chime in as always down in the comments section below. See you next time.
