The Press Release:
We regret to announce that Liberty City Anime Convention 2020 has been cancelled in light of the Covid Pandemic. We respect the guidelines put forward by the CDC and want to act in the best interest of our attendees and our guests to maintain your health and safety.

We apologize for keeping you waiting on this announcement, as is the case with many other conventions, we have to work with the hotel to determine how cancellation will work and unfortunately that communication takes time. All those who have pre-registered for a 2020 badge will automatically have their badge transferred to the 2021 event. Please reach out to us at the website linked at the close with any questions you have.

We look forward to an even better Liberty City Anime Convention in 2021!

PiercingMetal Thoughts: So here we are again with another bit of cancellation news and with each one I find myself further and further drifing into the realm of uncertainty and disappointment. Historically speaking, I’ve attended the LCAC four times already and while its a smaller convention based on a comparison to the likes of NYCC, I’ve enjoyed it every time and have met some truly talented Cosplayers and cool vendors and talent. I will miss the chance to see the ones that I remember this year but such is the state of the world that we are in right now. New York has come a long way during the pandemmic, but we are not in the clear yet and as I close this one up I will again remind you to stay safe out there and wear a mask when necessary and follow your regional guidelines. Stay tuned for more of whatever is coming next. Feel free to chime in down below if you planned on attending this convention. I’d love to hear from you.
