Do not be alarmed. This is not a drill nor an early April Fool’s Day joke, but KISS (our absolute favorite band here at the PiercingMetal Command HQ) is finally gracing the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine after being in existence for forty years. Check out the cover below.
PiercingMetal Thoughts: This is a classic lineup photo from I guess around 1975 and features the original four founding members (Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley). The article is entitled “KISS Forever: 40 Years of Feuds and Fury” so I guess we will get a little more insight about the pitfalls and dealings with the former members of the lineup and how it affected the band on the whole. A good bit of that has already been published as “Nothin’ To Lose” which is a worthwhile tome for sure for your KISS library. As you might have already known, KISS is finally being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after being eligible for inclusion for sixteen years. Now while I don’t much care about The Rock Halls “status” I am happy to know that KISS is heading into it for the fans that this omission was killing. I’ll close this brief narrative up now as I’m off to the newsstand to get myself a copy of this issue of Rolling Stone. A statement that I have not made in a very, very, very long time 🙂
