Judas Priest Confirm “Redeemer Of Souls” Tour Dates 2014

You know the Metal weekend is off to a great start when you learn that the legendary Judas Priest will be embarking on a new tour to promote their latest album and it was only a few hours ago that the official press copy hit my mailbox and I could not wait to share some of this with you fine readers of the PiercingMetal.com site. Check it out:

Press Release:
“Ever since it was announced that metal icons Judas Priest would be unleashing their 17th studio album overall, ‘Redeemer of Souls’ (on July 8, 2014), their legion of fans have been wondering if the band would be launching a supporting tour. And the answer is a resounding YES – Priest will be touring the US in the fall, with dates running throughout October and for most of November. Steel Panther will be “special guests” for all the dates.”

I’m going to hope that more dates are forthcoming but the band did say that the “Epitaph” tour would be their last of the BIG TOUR explorations and that they would be focusing on smaller runs going forward. Well, it’s better than retirement that is for sure and I am not yet ready to give up on seeing Judas Priest in concert. The band will be in three arenas that are easily accessible to our Metropolitan Metalheads and I’ve highlighted those below for your easy consumption. I know that I definitely want to see the show at the Barclay’s Center (which is an arena that I have not yet managed to be at yet if you can believe it). I have seen Steel Panther on many occasions and think that they will be an entertaining opener for sure and if this tour will be your first time seeing them, well you best hold onto your hats. Part of me thinks that one other band of note would have been nice to see on the bill but I am not in charge of setting up bookings of this kind, I only talk about them. Anyway, I am very excited because Judas Priest has remained in my top three bands of all time along with KISS and Van Halen. I will not disclose the actual order of course. Some of you that have known me the longest actually know the order but the rest will have to file that as a mystery of the sands  Let’s get down to those Priest tour dates now.
