“Hey Bub” – Marvel’s February “True Believers” Issues Celebrate Wolverine Classics

I don’t think that I need to say how much I love the comic book stuff to you readers anymore but I’ll say that I get especially excited when there is a new batch of Marvel’s “True Believers” line hitting the shelves. Now this particular bit of news was originally circulated back in November but I sat on it until now since its closer to the time when collectors can head to their local shop and have their copies ready for the pull list. It’s also a good idea to see if any of the older runs of the True Believers line are in their back issue boxes and some reference to those can be found HERE on my older reports. Check out the full on press copy for this new set featuring the one and only Wolverine.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve been a fan of Wolverine since the early days and while I somehow missed that first appearance in “Incredible Hulk” I have followed the character through so many comic series and changes. It was always good stuff to me and that is what makes these True Believers issues worth getting a copy of. Some of them I didn’t read when they hit the stands since I wasn’t collecting at the time of their release but some others I did have and it will be nice to have an additional reading copy so’s not to damage the higher value original. Some of the titles are listed as being “Parental Advisory” and I guess that’s because of the whole slice and dice action that Wolverine was best at. Of course with the levels of violence in the current video games and the films that the younger set goes to see I don’t think anyone should worry about a comic book. All of these issues are 32 pages in length and a whole set of them will run you only $10 so get to the comic book store and purchase a few extra copies for the younger fan in your world. It’s never too late to get someone into comic book collecting. So as I close this up I wonder what you think of this new round of True Believers and their Wolverine focus.
