I guess its safe to assume that a season trailer that attendees of the Comic Con International: San Diego are always looking forward to is the one for “The Walking Dead”. The show is beyond mega-popular at this point and is the source of a lot of peoples frustrations with Facebook since the spoiler folks love to say that something happened on their feed the second after it happens. I view that as a d–k move for sure but have learned to stay off the social network until I get to watch it since I was running out of people to unfriend after ruining it for me. With that said here is the recently revealed Season “8” trailer. Enjoy.
About The Show: After “7” seasons I am not really sure that I need to cite what the show is about but if you have just arrived to our planet or are waking from a lengthy coma as our principle character Rick Grimes did some years ago now, “The Walking Dead” is about life in a world besieged by the dead. Sadly, sometimes the zombies are not the worst thing that our survivors have to deal with and there you go.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I have to say that I feel as though I’ve been watching “The Walking Dead” forever and truth be told I don’t always like it. There are many episodes where it is as boring as all hell, and despite the few shocker episodes like the one that began the seventh season when Neegan dispatched both Abraham and Glenn (please don’t scoff at me if you are only just now hearing that this happened because it was talked about EVERYWHERE the moment after it happened). The interesting thing about that is how the network toned down the level of shocking violence because of the minority of complainers. Say listen folks, the show is about life during a zombie apocalypse and is some of the bleakest stuff I have watched based on mans inhumanity against each other. If you cannot handle that please watch something else and stop ruining the stuff that isn’t for you. I don’t like the super duper gory Horror films that my fellow fiends love so much but I don’t complain about them existing or being offended by them. I am all for free speech and opinion but so many people need to STFU and that is my soap-boxing for the day. Sorry for losing track, so yeah TWD is coming back and I think this could be an action packed one with lots of smashing going on as well as a lot of loss of beloved characters. I remember when I asked a fellow scribe about the comic and the at the time upcoming show, his reply was “don’t get used to anyone. ANYONE”. For the most part he has been correct even though the series now deviates from the original comic book series to keep fans guessing what could happen. I admit that I am slightly confused about the final scene which looks to be in the future. I didn’t read more than a dozen or so of the comics and still need to get myself the second two compendium editions. You can let me know what you thought about this upcoming seasons trailer and let me stress that with the San Diego Convention showcasing so many of these types of clips that you are going to get a lot of posts about them. We want to keep you as entrenched in geek as we are. See you next time.
