Geoff Tate Announces The Whole Story “Ryche” Acoustic Tour 2017

The dates for this tour started popping up just recently and I wanted to get the official press details out to your attention. Check out the skinny on the acoustic tour by legendary Metal vocalist Geoff Tate.

The Press Release:
Beginning Sunday, January 22, 2017, multi-platinum selling, GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter Geoff Tate will be embarking on an extensive U.S. tour that will be highlighting songs from all 17 albums he has done throughout his illustrious 35 year career. Geoff is regarded as one of the most skilled vocalists in the rock genre with hundreds of modern, popular artists citing him as a major influence. He is the original singer for the band Queensryche, which he fronted for over 30 years.

Geoff will present his upcoming all-acoustic show with himself, backed by a 7-piece acoustic band of musicians from the United States and Ireland — featuring three guitar players, mandolin, cello, saxophone, violin and multiple percussion instruments — to produce a high energy acoustic version of some of the heavy metal genre’s most recognized songs including “Silent Lucidity,” “Jet City Woman,” “Empire,” “I Don’t Believe in Love” and “Eyes of a Stranger.”

PiercingMetal Thoughts: This sure does sound interesting and I am saying that as not only a fan of Tate’s voice but also as a fan of a well-rounded acoustic performance. I am hoping to get to my own areas regional appearance but I might have a conflict around that time. Hopefully I can do it and that Geoff records a show for home video release since this should be cool. What do you think of this new tour? Will you be attending? Let me know what you think down in the comments below.
