“Super Ninja Doll” is a film that takes the idea of Japanese Anime Super-Heroes and Science Fiction and gives it an adult premise and super sexy twist. It begins in outer space where we meet some of the key villains in the story, and one of them being Gorath, a monster of a man in body armor who recharges his powers by using the erotic energies from a beautiful Love Droid (played by Jassie James). Gorath’s partner in crime is Tantella, and their goal is universal domination. We then find our adventures being more Earth bound as the typical young innocent is caught with her comic book instead of paying attention in class. The comic books protagonist is the “Super Ninja Doll”, a heroine who derives her power from sexual energy. We get a super sexy encounter between the soon to be super girl and her cute classmate (the lovely Kitty Katzu) and while this is rather erotic and hot, it is more along the lines of what one would see during late night Cinemax channel surfing. Yes we see breasts and bare bottoms but nothing super crucial is seen. Of course, its still not something for you young viewers to be watching.

As the story unfolds we find out that the villainess Tantella is kidnapping brainiac scientists with her partner Gorath as they set forth on this insidious plan to rule the universe. Gorath heads to Earth where he continues to absorb this vital sexual energy. It does seem weird that this would be the source of their powers but it was an amusing change to not find them recharging from drinking blood or eating brains. Soon the Super Ninja Doll character comes to life by stepping out of the comic book and into the body of Eriko (the schoolgirl we brought up in the beginning of our commentary) and of course this is another fun and sexy role for Christine Nguyen. We last saw her as “Tarzeena” where she was a jungle queen and this time around she has much more of a speaking role and shows that she can act a little better than we saw her in that film. SND attempts to stop the evil villains from capturing another scientist and is of course over powered by her enemies who bring her to their headquarters. From there the combatants duke it out with the sake of the universe being the grand prize.

I’m not going to ruin the end of the story and let you know whether our lovely heroine saves the day and all the scientists or that Gorath and Tantella end up enslaving humankind into an endless supply of sexual energy batteries. For those answers you will just have to Netflix or purchase the film, or hope to catch it on one of those super later night Cinemax visits. The costumes for this one were rather interesting as Super Ninja Doll looks like something out of the Power Rangers, while Gorath appears to have been a member of Gwar at one time based on his body armor. Tantella’s outfit works well enough, but its nothing you have not seen outside of your typical Sword and Sorcery film. This was more fun than it wasn’t and should appeal to those who are seeking an adult comedy with a little dose of sexual energy tossed into the script.
