Hey there readers, it’s nice to see you all once again. Welcome back to the ongoing visuals from the 2016 NY Comic Con. I’m still dishing out the stuff from Day One because there was a lot to see. If you missed any of the posts that preceded this one you can click THIS LINK to bring up a list of the ones that ran already. Feel free to start at the beginning as there is no rush to read this new one if you missed what we shared first. There is lots of cosplay to enjoy so let’s get this party started – This is Chapter Five 🙂
I chanced upon Wonder Woman and a version of Superman doing some sort of skit/interview with Bloomberg TV if I heard them correctly. I didn’t want to get in the way so I moved along to not distract anyone from getting their job done.
Here is the always beautiful Marissa Jade. We’ve chatted at the various conventions over the last few years and this woman is always working hard at the modelling and acting gigs. She recently starred on one of the “Mob Wives” seasons but I think the show is now in limbo since VH1 ended all of these programs. It was nice to see her and the various posters she had available to sign.
Marissa was kind enough to pose with her comic book likeness as well. It’s called “Destiny”. Good luck Ms. and until next time.
Hey check this out. This is some cast from a superhero musical called “Mescaline”. The whole thing is the creation of the young lady to the right in the photo whose name is Natalie Lifson. She is only 17 so that is some creativity. Not sure I will be free to check this out but a link will be at the bottom for you to examine if you can.
This smiling Goth is none other than Chandra Free aka Spooky Chan. She is an artist we always see at Con and she was just chilling with friends this year and wouldn’t have a table in the Artist Alley. Bummer but we are glad to post a photo here just the same.
The staff at NYCC would like you all to keep on moving across the aisles without “cosplay moments” and believe me this is very difficult to enforce. I admit to being guilty of stopping the occasional cosplayer who have crossed my path and that were needed for these posts.
This policy was impossible when you saw the great Stan “The Man” Lee up on the Marvel dais getting ready to meet his fans and sign whatever they brought to him. What an icon and believe it or not, this would be Stan’s very last appearance at NYCC. He is I guess retiring from the convention circuit.
I did one of the photos as well but it was in the queue of the machine with about 20 images to print ahead of mine so instead of waiting I was told to come back tomorrow to see and get it. This was a mistake since there were several hundred images on the wall to peruse and I couldn’t bother with that considering how much was left to do at NYCC. Oh well.
Alright friends, that is going to be it for the Day One presentations. Can you believe that all of that stuff needed five different installments? Whew, neither could I but it did. Starting tomorrow I’ll begin running the Day Two stuff so please stay tuned. NY Comic Con is surely an adventure that takes a lot of space to showcase properly. While you wait for the next chapter, please click on the website links below so you can learn more about the stuff that was featured in this chapter. Also, if you are a fan of Instagram, please know that a whole bunch of different photographs from the convention have been uploaded as well. You can find our profile by clicking HERE so please come “follow” and like as many of the images that suit your fancy. See you again tomorrow with the next chapter.
