Exploring Anime NYC 2017: Day One (Part 1)

The tenured readers of the PiercingMetal website know just how much we love to attend the Pop Culture conventions and share our narrative and visual findings here with the masses. We’ve been attending the New York Comic Con since 2010 and the Toy Fair since 2011 and the interested can click the highlighted text to peruse any narratives that are tagged for them. This post will begin a new series of coolness that I am so excited to share with you as this year, the folks at Leftfield Media have launched the first ever “Anime NYC” Convention. Last year I attended the first NYC based Liberty City Anime Convention (discussed HERE) and while I am not the biggest study of Anime and Manga presentations, I do love me some cosplayer creativity and related geek stuff so let’s get this adventure started.

Since I like to keep the convention overview posts to not much more than “50” or so images, I will close up my first chapter from the Day One of the first-ever Anime NYC event. It was a fun day and I had to say that I was excited before I even came into the Javits Center because tonight will be the final New York City appearance by the Finnish Hard Rock sensation HIM. I am going to that show for the music reporting side of my world and will be back with more chapters of this convention until we run out of images to post. Please stay tuned for more and click through to some of the links that we’ve provided you with down below. Comments are also most welcome on this chapter. See you again.

Editorial Update: In 2021, a photo gallery video was created and uploaded to our Official YouTube Channel to help broaden the audience. We ask site readers to take a few minutes to watch and “like” the video clip and to please subscribe to the channel. Doing so will help us reach an even wider group and keep cool stuff coming.
