You might have seen a few glances of this coming very soon line in our Toy Fair posts on the website or on our Official Instagram, now that I’ve a proper press release and a score of images allow me to present the Eaglemoss Collections “The Alien & Predator” Figurine Collection.
The Press Release:
Eaglemoss Collections Teams with Fox Filmed Entertainment for the Official Alien & Predator Figurine Collection
In celebration of one of science fiction’s most loved and enduring series of films, Eaglemoss Collections has joined with Fox Filmed Entertainment to answer the demands of generations of sci-fi fans with the introduction of the first and only authorized collection of figurines based on characters from the Alien, Predator, AVP and Prometheus movie franchises.
The first series of collectibles to be launched under Eaglemoss’ new Hero Collector brand, the Alien & Predator Official Figurine Collection presents these classic characters in stunning yet terrifyingly realistic detail at 1:16 scale.
First up in the collection are two of the most iconic fan favorites. With arms outstretched, the imposing Xenomorph from the original Alien stands approximately 5-1/2 inches tall. Then there’s “Scar,” the commanding Predator from Alien vs. Predator. Having speared his Xenomorphic quarry, he’s close to 7-1/2” high. Like all figures in this definitive handcrafted collection, each has been cast in a specially formulated metallic resin and painted by hand.
Priced at $29.95, each figurine comes in a four-color display box and will be invading local comic shops beginning in May 2017.

These next two are the aforementioned 13″ scale figurines. Jeepers look at that Alien.
PiercingMetal Thoughts: Okay, so I have enjoyed both of these two franchises and am glad that they exist in the same Science Fiction universe since it makes for better film and comic book adventures but that said, while I love the look and assortment of these figurines they are not something that I would normally collect. Don’t get me wrong because I do want at least one Xenomorph and a Predator but I wouldn’t be someone that purchases the whole line. For me, that money is better spent on the various Star Trek starships and superhero figurines that the company also releases and I think that I have about a dozen of those so far (which I have shown off somewhere on the Instagram that I mentioned up in my introduction). These are for those fans who cannot do without these diabolical creatures from galaxies far beyond our ken and they will surely look fantastic on ones desk or set up side by side on your collectible display shelf. The price seems normal for such an item considering their size which is nice to see being the case. Closing up let me ask what you readers think about these new Eaglemoss Collections offerings. Will you be adding them to your “must have” lists of collectibles? Let me know in the comments section below.
