DC Comics Reveals “Supergirl” Costume For Upcoming CBS Show

Sometime later in the 2015 year, CBS will toss its hat into the ring and give us a superhero television show that will bring us the live action adventures of “Supergirl”. The biological cousin to the Man Of Steel will be played by Melissa Benoist. Yesterday the costume to be worn by the actress was revealed and I am sharing it with you all right now.

The Premise: Twenty-four year old Kara Zor-El, who is taken in by the Danvers family when she was 12 after being sent away from Krypton, must learn to embrace her powers after previously hiding them. The Danvers teach her to be careful with her powers, until she has to reveal them during an unexpected disaster, setting her on her journey of heroism. (care of Wikipedia).

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Alright so I sort of like it and sort of don’t but that is based on it being too dark for my liking. The gritty realism is starting to annoy me and the vibrant colors in the costumes of Superman, Wonder Woman and the recently revealed Aquaman aren’t there and since they add such life to these characters I guess I am being fussy. I’m planning on watching the show when it airs and hope it maintains some of the quality we have been seeing in shows like “Arrow”, “The Flash” and “Constantine”. DC Comics is ahead of Marvel Comics in terms of televised series but not in the realm of films but they are hoping to step this up with the 2016 release “Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice”. Let’s see how they do. So what do you readers think about this costume revelation? Let me know in the comments section.
