DC Comics First Issues Onsale In July 2014

So as you can obviously tell, these comic book solicitation posts are now fully integrated with the main PiercingMetal.com content after our morphing into WordPress last month. I didn’t make any fuss about it in the previous post about the Marvel Comics offerings but yeah this is how we roll with this stuff from now on and when it comes down to it, this is going to be a lot more fun. That said here are the July first issues from DC Comics. As with these posts of the past the artwork and overall description come care of the press team at the company and then I will toss my thoughts in at the close. Let’s go.

"Grayson" #1

It’s a super-spy thriller that will shock you and prove one thing: You might think you know Nightwing – but you don’t know Dick.

RED LANTERNS ANNUAL #1: “Atrocities” cranks the action up to eleven! Guy Gardner fought hard to get Space Sector 2814 – including Earth – under Red Lantern protection. SUPERMAN/WONDER WOMAN ANNUAL #1: Only an Annual could contain this chapter of “SUPERMAN: DOOMED”! It’s an all-out assault by the heroes of Earth (superpowered and not) on the God of War, Wonder Woman, who’s leading the charge against all manner of alien attackers. The monstrous Superman smashes through everything friend or foe as his de-evolution reaches a critical stage. It all leads to their best hope: the Phantom Zone?!

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I have to say that I will miss Dick Grayson being Nightwing for the time being since it’s such a great character. Let’s see how he does as a spy going forward. I’m likely going to check out this New Suicide Squad as a long time reader of the teams adventures and the Teen Titans. Hey and let me ask you readers a question for a second. Which of you readers are going to help me get a few copies of the Harley Quinn SDCC Special? With our media HQ being in NYC we are not going to easily get a copy of that one so uhm yeah. That’s all I have for the now, but I shall see you soon with some more comics posts and of course that skull crushing Metal reporting. Let me know what you readers think of this month’s DC Comics in the comments section. I’d love to hear from you on it.
